Last month, I had the honor and absolute pleasure of performing with the @hbartscollective at Jacob’s Pillow.

7 weeks with friends old and new, each one embraced me with kindness and encouragement.

Hope, my inspiration, my professor, my bison buddy, the funniest person on the planet, and the Queen of the Room. Thank you for turning the studio into a sanctuary for me, every. day. Being under your direction has been an answered prayer. I am so grateful for your patience and never ending generosity. Love you!!🩵

HopeBoykinDance has my heart 💙

Reflecting on an amazing summer filled with love, growth, joy, and so many beautiful moments. I’m incredibly grateful for the new and existing connections with artists who continue to fuel my heart, challenge me, and inspire me.

So grateful to have performed at Jacob’s Pillow with such rich history and meaning. Dancing within a space that carries so much legacy was truly a dream. @jacobspillow

And to @hbdance thank you for your mentorship, dedication, generosity, and all the laughs along the way. I will forever be inspired by you and forever grateful for you. 💙

Hey! My name is Maco Dacanay, and I’m from Seattle, Washington. I’m a double major in music and economics, and I’m 100% committed to Fordham! I can’t wait to play guitar with the best musicians I could ever ask for (both within Fordham and outside in the scene), spend my nights in the RA On Duty office with friends that make the job bearable, hang with the greatest roommates of all time (including summers!), and most of all, find friendship and love and laughter and happiness among FLOW, F-Sharps, Alvin Ailey, musicatfordham, Reslife, the greater jazz community, and more. Thank you everyone for everything ❤️ Nothing bad ever happens at Fordham University
