Grateful to share that my piece Blue (2025) was acquired into the permanent collection of Miami-Dade Art and Public Places (@artinpublicplacesmdc).

It will be permanently on display at the Osvaldo N. Soto Miami-Dade Justice Center. Miami’s newly remodeled 23-story civil courthouse housing 14 major site-specific commissions and over 90 acquired artworks.

This piece was created at a time of lots of pain and uncertainty but great self-reflection. I didn’t know it at the time but the indigo blue color I was exploring were reminiscent of those feelings.

I was in Oaxaca, Mexico when I completed the artwork @t.e.x.e.r.e surrounded by wonderful people, good food, and nature. For over a month, I woke up and chipped away at the piece, natural dyeing with other artists in residence like @f.a.v.io.l.a, sightseeing during the day then sewing late nights alone, and once the work was complete my family and friend @miamiguet visited me and I felt like myself again, there was so much joy!! My blue period was done lol. Back then, I didn’t know why things happened the way they did. But I thank God for every good and bad moment (even the blue ones) since it led me here now and pushed me to grow.

The og’s at the opening night of my solo museum show “Field of Dreams” at the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami @mocanomi. It opened during #MiamiArtWeek in December 2025.

It is still on view until March 16th, 2026. Last month to check it out!

It’s the fifth and final day of @dianaeusebiostudio’s takeover of the @wophafoundation socials! 🙋🏽‍♀️ Sharing some recent photos of my artist residency in Vermont @eighthhouseresidency. I’ve been in VT for over a week now.

The process of rinsing out my naturally dyed photographs in the river deserves its own post. What an otherworldly experience when nature goes back into nature, as you see the river turn red with cochinilla dye.

I first tested the pH of the water to see if the dye would be welcome in the rivers water. I can’t help but remember something my mom would always tell me about entering virgin natural spaces: to ask the land or “pacha mama” for permission before entering.

I feel fully welcome in Vermont. I’m still processing the small town culture and that I’m in fact in the U.S. Being from Miami, I’ve only encountered people swimming in rivers in the DR, the mountains in Peru, and the small town camaraderie outside the U.S, such as in Oaxaca, Mexico. Farmers grow crops and generously share, townspeople wave at each other although strangers, and people just have time— to connect, to dip, to enjoy.

I wish to come back here with my family one day, so they can experience a small town culture that could remind them of the Latin American countryside.

What a unique town of 1,100 people Rochester is. Thank you @katharina.francoise for welcoming me to your hometown with open arms. I’ve enjoyed creating a studio space in the @eighthhouseresidency house and extending my practice outdoors as well. ❤️
