A rewarding and busy week for the Islander on the Island, filled with community spirit, generosity and plenty of reasons to celebrate!

We were front and center as @dominos.for.education celebrated the awarding of $80,000 in scholarship funding to three organizations: @mdcfoundation, @cristoreymiami and @rotaryclubofkeybiscayne. A wonderful reminder of what happens when our community comes together to support education and opportunity, creating the Domino Effect.

Along the way, lots of meaningful connections, conversations and laughs with friends and neighbors, and, of course, plenty of delicious Tastecitos.

We also joined the @keybiscaynechamber for the ribbon-cutting celebration welcoming @amand_miami, one of the newest additions to Key Biscayne’s dining scene. 😋

And this week’s Tastecito tip: Planning a catered gathering? We highly recommend the Di Ceci Chopped Salad from @il_mercarto.

Giving back. Celebrating local businesses. Connecting with our community. Another rewarding week on the island!

What will this week bring?

“...the worst part...”
Bikers on the Rickenbacker Causeway are creating real safety concerns for MAST students and parents on the daily commute to and from school.

@laudyibarra spoke with a father of twins and two MAST students about how cyclist traffic is affecting their trip to school and back home.

Happy Labor Day!
We salute the all the Island's hard workers, especially the officers who keep us safe, the crews behind our cafecitos and Tastecitos, and the teachers who quietly shape our kids' futures.

Have a safe and happy day, Key Biscayne!
