POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I was recently asked what legacy I want to leave behind as Miss Alabama Volunteer, and my answer was belonging.

The question came during an interview on WTVY with a friend and fellow Miss Alabama Volunteer contestant, which made the conversation even more meaningful. She understands this experience firsthand, so it felt less like an interview and more like two friends reflecting on what this title can represent.

I’ve thought so much about the impact I hope to leave. I want people, especially children who may feel unseen, to know there is a place where they are supported, valued, and reminded that their story matters.

If my year helps even one person feel that sense of belonging, that is the legacy I will be proud to leave!

A great day FULL of rehearsals and we all showed our school spirit! Zoom in and you’ll see I’m repping @libertyuniversity of course! (even though it’s hard to see on my sweatshirt 🤣)

Tomorrow the competition begins and I can’t wait for everyone to see the fantastic show that’s in store!!✨🎉🫶🏻❤️ @missalvolpageant

Today I’m talking about the heart of the Miss Volunteer America S.E.R.V.E. mission: Volunteerism!

My passion for raising awareness about the stories of violent crime victims and the organizations that support them is my S.E.R.V.E. initiative, but it also an extension of my life.

A true highlight and honor of this year was serving as the director of The House of Ruth’s Queens of Courage Fundraiser Pageant in March, where I raised over $10,000 for The House of Ruth, which is a domestic violence and sexual assault shelter and crisis center serving 9 counties in Southeast Alabama.

I was blown away by the outpouring of support for our mission that we saw at the pageant. I am so grateful for my fellow board members’ support, all of our sponsors, and every contestant. 💜

As a member of the Board of Directors for 2 years now I have seen more and more the critical need for this organization and other victim’s advocacy groups.

Anyone can be a victim of violent crime, and in some way we are all impacted by violent crime. Victims and their stories matter and I will always be an advocate of this message.

The next letter in S.E.R.V.E. is R – Responsibility. 🩷

Luke 12:48 can be paraphrased as “To whom much is given, much is required.”

That verse has been a guiding principle in my life. It’s a reminder that with every opportunity comes responsibility.

As a journalist, I have the responsibility of sharing stories with accuracy, integrity, and compassion. This has taught me to lead thoughtfully, walk into work each day with purpose, and serve my community both on and off the job.

More than a crown, the role of Miss Alabama Volunteer is about representing with excellence and embracing the responsibility that comes with being a servant leader and role model.

Today on the social media countdown to Miss Alabama Volunteer: my favorite part of the competition — TALENT!✨🩰

Dance is such an important and special part of my life. It is a truly rewarding experience to bring the hours of practicing in the studio and years of training in ballet en pointe to the stage.

I am excited to bring a new routine to the @missalvolpageant stage this year! ❤️💃
