No AI – real artists! 🖤

Good evening, my dears! Today, I want to give you a little behind-the-scenes insight. In times of AI, posts by real artists often receive very little attention – people simply scroll past. But behind a single image or short video, there is often more than an entire weekend's worth of work!

Here's one example (and I'm not even including the making of the costume itself 😉).

After work on Thursday, I pack my things, charge batteries and prepare everything. On Friday, I travel around 500 km to visit my friend Jack. On Saturday, I do my make-up, film the process on my phone, and we load everything into Jack's car. He drives me to the location, where we meet Suse @scharfografie

While I finish getting into costume, Jack sets up the lighting equipment and cuts the smoke cones down to size. Suse gets everything ready and puts her whole body into the job – even crawling underneath an old altar to get the perfect camera angle! I'm standing barefoot inside an abandoned church, barely able to see through my blindfold, while Suse safely guides me through the photoshoot. Jack takes care of the batteries and captures a few BTS moments together with Suse.

Afterwards, we do everything in reverse: pack up, load the car, drive back, remove my make-up and wash off the elaborate body paint. 🥲 We stay another night because I'm simply too exhausted to drive home after such a long day – and on Sunday, I travel another 500 km back home.

Meanwhile, Suse is already sorting through the photos, editing videos and coordinating with a composer who created the perfect soundtrack especially for our main video.

Once I'm home, I repair little things that got damaged during the shoot, check my make-up supplies and order replacements, do laundry, tidy everything up… and edit this little BTS video on my phone 😉

As you can see, projects like this take an incredible amount of time, passion and craftsmanship!

One character is never enough!
I love disappearing into completely different worlds — and creating the characters that live in them.

From High Fantasy, Horror and Dark Fantasy to Dark Sci-Fi, Post-Apocalypse and everything in between.

And behind every character is far more than just a costume.

I create my characters myself — from makeup & body painting to masks, costumes, props and details. And I don't just want to look like a character. I love giving them their own personality, story and depth and bringing them to life through acting and performance.

Whether it's a creature, warrior, monster, villain or something completely different — transformation and character work are what I love most 🖤
