BACKSTAGE WITH SOPHIE 🎬🎤 | Solo Advice ✨

Stepping out onto that stage alone takes serious courage 🫶🏼

@sophielisterr caught up with some of our amazing dancers backstage on the Express Yourself Tour to ask one simple question:
What’s your best advice before competing a solo?

From keeping your eyes up and having fun to remembering that one result doesn’t define you… these little superstars gave the ultimate pep talk! 🥺💜

Finn from @dndance.edinburgh stole the entire show in Dundee 🥹✨

From turning up looking like a million dollars in that sequin tailcoat to describing his mood as “elated”… this young man had us smiling from ear to ear backstage! 🎩

Not only did he light up the DI stage with his tap solo, but he casually dropped that he came 2nd in the World Cup for it and then showed us how the Suzy Q is really done! 🪄🕺

This is exactly what DI is all about: incredible talent, genuine personality, and young performers who own who they are with pure class! 👌🏼✨💜

A little something that I did ages ago but never posted! Just sharing some best practices and advice on how to stay calm when speaking in public and hosting! Trust me I still get nervous but I hope this video helps and inspires aspiring hosts to get out there and do it! Believe in yourself and Believe what you can bring to the table. If I can do it... you can do it🙏🏿💯🎯 #hosting #tips #advice #publicspeaking #howtostaycalm
