Every single sacrifice that I’ve had to make, was reflected back in all of my love languages today, and I was spoiled, treated, fed, celebrated by my beautiful daughters.
Thank you for making me a mother.
You were perfect and complete when you were born, and I’ll always be here to remind you that. I’ll always be here to remind you not to settle because you are excellent.
I’ll always remind you to push for radical love that leaves you feeling full.
Thank you for forgiving me when sometimes I can’t hold everything. Sometimes the lights get shut off. Sometimes I’m hungry. Sometimes I’m calling out white people when yall want me to be nice 😊
sometimes I’m crying in the movie theater.
Sometimes my curry takes five hours to make so we don’t have dinner until 11 PM. Sometimes I mess up.

Stop the killings.

Baby inner Sarah been crying lots lately.
Life feels hard (I’m sure not just me?)
Adult Sarah is trying and failing and falling and out of resources and hungry enough to still fight for it.
Like fuck it.
If this is the way it’s gonna be, what we bout to do?
RIP Sonya Massey.
I was literally raised to say the same thing,.
I grew up in the type of family that still rebukes an illness, a threat, anything that tries to bring harm.
My mom and dad still be rebuking things left and right lol. It’s one of the things I love about them.
I might have had my own path spiritually, but I respect the way that I learned from them to walk in faith and not by sight.
Not sure how but it will come.
We will win.
Even after this body is gone, cause they aren’t promised to stay.
All will change.
My bones, may you quake terror in the hearts of those that harm the babies after me.
Skin, blend with mycelium and sing my grief songs and wake the sleeping hearts until they shudder and have goosebumps up their spine.
Organs grow into trees so we can learn to fly as the birds do, seeing all things come to fruition.
