Well a few weeks late but I got the chance to caddie for one of my best friends at US women disc golf championship. And it was a absolutely blast. Meeting everyone, making new friends, can't wait for next year. To do it again

This morning we recognize and celebrate the 2024 FPO Tour Champion, Micah Tilford!

We all know her as an avid NWA golfer and bright spirit! Micah dominated the competition last year, winning the bracket in undefeated fashion! She was able to defeat her tour rival Laura Gray in both the winners and grand finals match 2-0 and 2-1 to claim the title!

This season, Micah has enjoyed less competition and more social Disc Golf with friends, something we all could do a bit more of. She also competed in 2 PDGA majors, am worlds and US Women’s!

Congratulations Micah and best of luck in your future Disc Golf journey! We admire and appreciate your energy always!

Mara’s 2025 Am Worlds recap

Not the finish or the performance I was wanting for my last Am Worlds. I’ve been looking forward to this tournament since last years am worlds and was super bummed when I tore a muscle in my throwing arm a month before we left for Missouri. Not throwing for a month before a big tournament set me back quit a bit. Instead of focusing on form and footwork, I was nursing an injury and doing PT. Longest month of my life let me tell you. This entire tournament turned into a mental goal instead of a physical one. After round one it was clear that my arm was still not in throwing condition, after the second round I realized that I wasn’t going to be able to execute my shot shapes and after the third round I was ready to DNF as my arm was going numb every time I would throw off the tee. Not preforming well due to something you have no control over is heartbreaking. Im extremely stubborn and decided to push through for my last round, no quitters here. Im thankful for all the people I got to play with this year, old and new. Shout out to my last card for brining the vibes, we even all matched! Missouri has some amazing courses and even more amazing disc golf community and I can’t wait to go back. As winter approaches here in Wisconsin I am excited to give my body a well deserved rest. Cheers and thanks to everyone that has been following along 💛

June flew by! ☀️

A photo dump of the last 2 weeks of June in Manitowoc and Indianola ☺️

I played with an injury at Discmania Challenge, but I won’t let that performance discourage me. I have a whole community around me that brings me joy no matter what challenges I face.

Thanks so much to the staff, volunteers, and fans at Discmania Challenge for bringing the high vibes! I always have so much fun because y’all are amazing!! 😍💞🫶🏾

Thanks to my sponsors for supporting me! 🤗

T-15 @ USWDGC
This past week was one of the most amazing weeks of my disc golf career so far. I had some really awesome throws, I had some not very awesome throws. My putting suffered a lot this week so I know what I’ll be working on before Am Worlds. I had the honor to be on feature card the first round! That was new and exciting! Take a peep over @gatekeeper_media
I was looking through my camera roll and the only photos I found for this event sheds light on what it was truly about. So much female love, all week long. Pouring into each others cups. The female friendships I have formed through this sport have surpassed anything I’ve ever hoped for. I feel so incredibly lucky

The first day of 2025 and we had 14 people out to play. It was 5 straight hours of disc golf and so many laughs my stomach hurts. @discslingingclupkas korie had the absolute best shot of the day for a birdie on hole 5 at big beast! It was amazing to watch. Wish we had it on film. This is going to be a great year with this amazing group. Thank you to everyone that came out to play #birdiebogeybros #discgolf #nwarkansas #rvlife

2024 PDGA Am World Championships
5 Days
90 Holes
315 Throws
32,617 Feet
18th of 114 Players
1st Major

What a crazy journey. I am so thankful for each and every one of the 5 days I got to play here in Michigan. Now that I’m home and decompressed, I can let everything sink in. Top 20 in the largest FA1 division. I did that!
Things that I’ve learned:
*It’s okay to want to do well and fall short.
*The mental slump of thinking you aren’t playing well eliminates more chances than when you actually aren’t playing well.
*You aren’t out of it because of a couple bad holes. It isn’t over until the final putt.
*Holding yourself to a high standard is perfectly fine, meet that standard when you can and forgive yourself when you can’t.
*The connections you make on this journey will make you so much happier than a win could ever make you. Cherish them. Water them. Keep them close.
*The sky is my ceiling. I played well above my rating each and every round.

My workhorses this weekend were my @innovadiscs Sidewinder for cutting up all the woods lines, and my @discraftdiscgolf Thrasher for absolutely bombing off the tee. When the wind was proving to be too much, I used my @thoughtspaceathletics Omen and @kastaplast Berg to fight against it on my approaches. Finally, a great tournament wouldn’t be possible without my @discmaniadiscs Links finding the chains at the end of each hole, and giving me the confidence I need on the putting greens needed to snag those birdies.

I would like to give a thank you to the hardworking people who put this event on, the volunteers for being out there everyday, my @saltyunicornsdgapparel team, the girls that provided all the good vibes, and most importantly my husband, my caddy, for keeping my head focused and my attitude in it even when I took myself out of it. Thank you for all the advice and encouragement and believing in me from day one. I would not have been here without you, and I value you so truly and deeply.

Lastly, a big congratulations to @virginia_polkinghorne_76009 for absolutely crushing this tournament! You definitely earned it this year!
