Welp, I didn’t win Teacher of the Year—but man, I won with all the incredible people in my life. 💛 My family, friends, students, and colleagues have cheered me on every step of the way, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

A very special thank you to Alex McLeod, who returned to her alma mater just to speak on my behalf. She put an accumulation of 25 years of grit, love, and dedication into the most beautiful speech. To hear Alex’s kind words, it made my heart explode and I was so proud to have taught such an amazing human. Gosh I love all the relationships this career has given me and I’m just so thankful for every single one.
