We’re two plungers away from another family chat but other than that I literally don’t know a life better than the one Monty and I have with you, because of you.

Happy Father’s Day to you, my dearest love.

And to my Dad (my hero) and Micah’s Dad for being the two best father figures to me, Micah and Monty. We are who we are in so many ways bc of you 🤍

Travel hack that surprises people every time: yes, we still travel with a stroller for our almost 7-year-old.

When in London, we’re easily clocking 15,000 steps a day. Having a stroller means we can say yes to one more destination, one more neighborhood, one more dinner reservation without worrying about completely exhausting Monty.

When he’s feeling great, he walks. When he’s tired, he hops in. Sometimes he reads a book, sometimes he just takes a break and enjoys the ride.

Bonus: it gets us through the family customs line in ten minutes without a second glance. 🙌 And it gives us a wagon for any shopping bags or restaurant take-away boxes. Plus, our triceps are triceps-ing at the end of the day carting around a six year old. 💪

For us, it’s one of the biggest reasons we can travel all day without meltdowns, complaints, or having to call it quits early.

Highly recommend this hack to all the jet-setting parents out there! 🤍

Hands down this evening with @skunaboats will be one of our favorite memories of this summer’s trip back to London. The Mediterranean spread, the sunset, the ease of it all. It kinda felt like time stopped. ⚓️🤍

Last night’s ’Take Flight’ party officially started the wind down at 3122. I have spent so many nights cleaning up SkinOwl parties with my team - sweeping up glitter and flower petals, putting lip gloss and face oils back onto the table that served a salad bar an hour before, and taking out trash that proved it was a damn good party.

I moved slowly through last night’s cleanup, taking it all in, marking the part of this journey that now has space to feel all the needed feelings. I’ll have a lot to say before we hand over our keys in a few weeks but today (as I sit on my living room couch on Mother’s Day before anyone else is awake) I just want to say thank you and I love you. Thank you to every soul who came to SkinOwl yesterday, from near and far. You showed up for me and this store and love was in the room once again.

3122 has been my second home and my hope as we go into our next chapter is that you, our family, felt loved in this space. That you found a piece of yourself you thought was missing in this space. That you felt joy or release in this space. I say that bc I sure did 🥹

Let’s bring it home, birdies. Hope to see more of your faces through the end of this month. Yesterday was nothing short of perfect.

So we’re fifteen minutes into our drive from SF to LA and we forgot something and had to turn back. It was a setback with a 6 hour drive ahead of us but I said to Micah, ‘What if this is one of those ‘sliding doors’ situations where this delay makes for something awesome later today?’

Skip to three hours later, we stopped for gas in ‘Nowhere, California’ only to run into @bradenbales and @whereisezra, two of our favorite musicians and now we know as two of the kindest people. I covered Braden on @itsanniewren and it’s just a joy to meet people who inspire you beyond words.

Monty, you picked the best day to wear your MTV shirt. Good luck at your show tonight in SF @afterthought.ca!!! See you in Arizona 🤍
