🐶💕 Dog Of The Week 💕🐶 It’s not typical that we take in owner surrenders, we pride ourselves on helping out the Chicago area animal controls since there is an abundance of dogs in need within our community. But once in a while a dog comes along that gets us in the feels and we can’t say no. A Good Samaritan (who also happens to be a well seasoned foster mom) found a stray on the south side. She immediately canvased the neighborhood searching for his owner, took him to the vet to check for a microchip (which they found), she contacted the listed owner multiple times to no avail, and then she took him home. Once home she posted him on Lost Dogs Illinois, made posters, and blew up social media still searching for his owners. No avail. Then she reached out to the rescue she fostered for and offered to foster him if they took him under their wing. No avail. That’s when a life long friend of mine connected her to me in hopes of some help. We quickly got all the info, and set up our interactions team to meet and evaluate this poor boy...He was amazing and didn’t disappoint. JD is the perfect house guest, cuddle mate, and best friend! He needs slower intros to other dogs but once their friends he’s their BFF.
If you are looking for a brindle bestie with the cutest underbite ever, then JD is for you!
