“I will no longer hide my body bc I think I look hideous. I will no longer hide from cameras and I will no longer judge myself in a negative way. These are things I haven’t been able to say for such a long time. Even before cancer I struggled with excepting my weight. I only loved myself when I was thin. Stage 3, inflammatory breast cancer changed everything. Steroids, drugs and constant fear changed everything. I now see myself as a survivor, not a fat, breast-less woman with nothing going for her. The book Body Positive Power @meganjaynecrabbe @bodyposipanda helped me understand that it was okay to be who I was and to not allow anyone to suggest or tell me differently.
My story is a journey. I look forward to seeing where it takes me. No longer hiding but standing strong.” — Michele, 57

“I used to walk into a room full of people and wonder if they would like me. Now I look around and wonder if I’m going to like them” — Anonymous
