Returning from the desert 🤍
with a whimsical glow in my heart
and a deep gratitude for the pure alchemy
of making art together.

For me, the desert has always been
a living canvas.
A place where imagination becomes tangible,
A exploration of a choose your own adventure
And a new way meeting one another.

This year was a beautiful reunion.
I joined an all-star cast for play created by @lyric_experiences @markoayling Jitterbug Perfume
I also offered three pop-up ritual performances
@longfengartcar @houseoffates @ritualmovementarts
sword dancing through rain and dust,
improvising with the elements,
letting the storms rewrite the choreography
in real time.

Nothing rehearsed the way life is rehearsed.
Nothing perfectly planned.
Just bodies, music, weather,
intuition, and one another.

And that is the magic. 💫

Finding old friends beneath new stars.
Meeting new creative allies.
Building something beautiful
with people you may have met only moments before.

A gesture becomes an invitation.
A rhythm becomes a conversation.
A performance becomes a shared memory.

Our temporary city is one giant work of art
built from imagination, generosity,
radical self-expression, collaboration,
and a glorious willingness to play.

the mischief, the magic,
and all the beautiful things
we made together.

Until we meet again in the dust…

Marie has been a fixture in the Neo-folk scene since her 2007 debut Faces in the Rocks. Now acclaimed as a cult classic in the indie music world. She is revered for her intricate finger-picking and poetic mysticism, often drawing, as from the ether, immense feeling through a voice of soft potency and otherworldly wordsmithing. Over the years, after teaching herself to play guitar at 18, she has come to be known as a healing singer and as a visionary artist, channeling and transmitting medicinal qualities through her music. She has been hailed as "one of the true gems of modern-day folk music” and has been acknowledged as “a rare combination of poet, musician, activist, healer, and storyteller, someone truly using art in the way it’s intended to be used.

Opening Night! 🎥✨

What a wild ride.

Just one month ago, @zeustopher was telling us about his dream for @thedrivein.gv . We broke ground on May 29th, and just one week later, we opened our doors.

This project would never have come to life without our incredible team, @fancy.grl24 and @brutalistmaximist , along with the 30–40 volunteers who generously gave their time, resources, skills, and hard work to make it happen.

What makes this so special is that it truly was a community effort—which is fitting, because community was one of the core ideas behind creating this space.

The Drive-In is about bringing people together. It’s about putting down our phones, connecting with one another, and stepping into a time and place many of us remember—and are still trying to recapture.

We can’t wait for more nights like this all summer long, and hopefully for many years to come.

I love you, Zeus, Allie, and Violet. ❤️

I know this is just the beginning of the rest of our lives. 🫶
