POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Filming with Lonnie again today, he not only talked about Expansions and how that record caught fire in the London, but what the jazz scene was like in New York in the late 60s.

He gave us a particularly vivid story about a night at the Village Vanguard when he and Pharoah Sanders opened for Dexter Gordon… he said Dexter got on stage and “captured the entire universe in one note.”

THE MAN THAT KILLED BOOGEY 🎥

Last fall we produced a short film in collaboration with @badroom.productions & @john_reaves !

Working on this horror short film was a very scary experience in all the best ways. This weekend Stone Thurman’s THE MAN THAT KILLED BOOGEY premieres at Richmond International Film Festival @riffrva Saturday Night at 9:45p

Support local filmmakers and artists. This crew was an absolute dream (should we say nightmare if it’s horror?) to work with.

All Hail Boogey!

Last night was beautiful! The Richmond music community came out to the historic @hippodrome_venues to celebrate one of its own, Lonnie Liston Smith @smithlonnieliston He even sat behind the keys and played “A Garden of Piece” with members of @butcherbrown
Congratulations to the entire team working behind @cosmicechodoc The trailer was impactful and me everyone THAT much more excited for the finished film.
