We are delighted to announce A measure of Life: Coffee Moments from the Past Century, a new limited book curated by our co-founder @2020davidmiro and published by @standartmag; a visual journey through 185 archival photographs that capture how coffee has shaped the rhythms of our lives across generations.

You can pre-order now the book in the link you’ll find in @standartmag’s bio.

The foreword is written by the Japanese artist @to_make_it_home and the book brings together imagery from kitchens, cafés, caravans, studios, film sets, and street corners.

Some faces you’ll recognise: David Bowie, Isabella Rossellini, Chloë Sevigny, David Lynch~ though here, they appear not as celebrities, but as participants in a universal ritual: a quiet moment with a cup.

Inside, you’ll find photographs by Saul Leiter, @dariocatellani, @sarahblais, and many others, alongside vernacular and anonymous images that reveal the poetry of the everyday.

Printed in Berlin and bound in a woven hardcover and spanning more than 200 pages, the book is divide into three chapters: Patience, Pleasure, and Bliss, reflecting the emotional contours of a life measured in cups.

Book design by Nastya Navarzina.
