POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This weekend, two of our execs competed in the Montréal Coréen Festival’s Bibim Chef Challenge, where they got to cook for the amazing @chefedwardlee ! Competitors were tasked with coming up with and cooking a starter, main, and dessert in just 45 minutes with limited ingredients.

While we didn’t win the main prize, Chef Lee really loved our tacos and we’re very glad to have fed him 😋

Congrats to Michael and Will from the Culinary Society and their amazing teammate Malak!

Appetizer: Fried mushroom, beansprout, and gochujang salad
Main: Bulgogi chicken and gochugaru beansprout tacos
Dessert: Poached apples with toasted almonds and clementines

Michael Abray is yet another fellow Georgian headed off to McGill next year, planning to study economics within the faculty of arts! Although they’ve already decided on a major, we know that they will make excellent use of McGill’s general first year. Since their arrival in grade 9, Michael has shown their skills in numerous forms of performance, which we hope to see them continue out in Montréal. After all, it’s one of the best cities there is for Michael to pursue their incredible musical skills, which we were so lucky to have on our tour in Japan. In numerous concerts and talent shows at the Royal College, Michael has put their guitar and bass proficiency on full display. They’ve also showcased a knack for acting, as the usurper chancellor in last year’s LBR show ‘Madness Reigns.’ Off campus, Michael is one of the best chefs RSGC will ever know - you’ll always leave with something homemade and delicious if you pay them a visit. But above all, Michael is also one of the biggest advocates for LGBTQ+ allyship, having led discussions for everyone at RSGC about what it means and how to be an ally. Their thoughtful approach to making RSGC a safe and inclusive environment will leave a lasting legacy on the Georgian community. Michael, the Royal College owes so much to you for what you have done for us. Whether you’re in the classroom or on stage, on campus or off, your presence at RSGC will be missed next year. Remember to take some time out of your busy schedule to come visit us! ❤️🤍
