Welcome these exquisite numbskulls into the world! This was when they were little Play babies and worked together haltingly / devotedly for months to keep a ball in the air - how beautiful to watch them discover/push the edges of their abilities and talents these three years, but also how extraordinary to see them find and discover one another and what’s possible when we play together! I am here for you all for whatever whenever forever! ❤️❤️❤️ sending my love & congratulations on this momentous day.

And just like that a year of being managing director of the Yale cabaret wraps up. The cast takes its last bow and I begin unravelling thinking of the magnitude of what we were able to pull of. My darlings; thank you for filling my last year at grad school with so much love and endless support - you are the brightest stars in my galaxy @karen_loewym @msjasminebrooks & @catherine_mackay

This season was made possible by many hands and full hearts. We sold 3,900 tickets across 14 shows and 70 performances. We engaged more than 300,000 people online, collaborated with 137 artists, and fed 280 creative team members along the way (shout out to House of Naan, Hot Murga, and Pizza House). Chef Parvine created 91 different menu items, while 28 donut-and-coffee mornings kept spirits up through load-ins and strikes.
There was laughter in the kitchen, hustle at the box office, warmth behind the bar, concentration in the booth, and brilliance from electricians, sound engineers, technical directors, production managers, designers, and every volunteer who stayed late painting until 2 a.m. There were friends holding each other’s ladders simply because that is what our community does. There were students eagerly working outside of their discipline. There were borrowed props, shared tools, emergency runs, pep talks, midnight tears, and countless acts of generosity. Most of all, there was joy and the kind of memory-making that can only happen at the Yale Cabaret.
Thank you for being the heartbeat of our season.

With love,
