If you told me I’d get to tour Australia with my best friends at 19, I wouldn’t have believed you

feeling so grateful for the last year, all the opportunities and hard work that has lead us here. Finally getting to tour my artist internationally is pretty freaking cool.

Ahhhh I love people, I love music, I love connection 💓

A quick trip across the ditch to celebrate @wheres.jai on the first stop of their Australian tour… and to eat some good food and watch some planes fly through the city.

Album art for ‘Fresh Out Of Air’ by @wheres.jai , their debut album and the first tangible record cover I’ve had the honour of photographing.

Captured on film last year, it feels really special to see this work existing out in the world, held and spinning in real time 🩵

WHERE’S JAI – Kiwi Band
Where’s Jai are an up-and-coming indie-pop-rock band from Auckland’s North Shore. Their sound blends groove-heavy indie-rock with touches of reggae and a hint of dreamy pop. With songs out on streaming platforms gaining more and more attention, they’re definitely a band to keep an eye on.

Grace, Leigh, Gene, Michael and Jai were all there and you could tell they genuinely love and appreciate their fans. Had a great chat with them while getting the vinyl and photos signed.

Huge congrats to them for reaching number 2 on the Aotearoa album charts – so well deserved and exciting to see where they go next.
