Directing the Scottish Play has a few drawbacks….like having to convince the cast that it’s okay to say the name of the show.

Come see Macbeth at Greenwood Community Theatre
August 20, 21, and 22nd at 7:30pm
Admission is free but donations are accepted!

What character(s) do you play in the show?
Fleance/others

Is this your first Shakespeare show?
yes

What drew you to audition?
I love the complexity of Shakespearean plays!! I wanted to push myself to learn and perform something that was not your average musical or play!

If your character had a theme song what would it be and why?
“You can’t Catch me Now” Olivia Rodrigo. Fleance is only a young girl, frightened by the actions of 3 murderers that killed her father. She comes back and haunts Macbeth because she feels as if she has to avenge her father.

Write your favorite quote from the show and a sentence or two why it is your favorite?
“And with him (to leave no rubs nor botches in the work), Fleance, his daughter, that keeps him company, whose absence is no less material to me than is her father’s, must embarce the date of that dark hour.” This line shows how cold Macbeth let his heart get. Banquo was one of his closest friends, and to let him and his daughter both be murdered is a line no one should ever dare to cross.

Explain Macbeth to someone who has never seen it before only using 5 words.
complicated, messy, dark, murder, mystery

Why should people come see the show?
Shakespeare is FUN!!
