Last Fall in the West End I went to see THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON as I had heard very positive reports. I was not fully prepared to experience one of the most emotional times I’ve ever spent in the theatre. It was everything theatre should be, inventive, romantic, life affirming, and so deeply moving. I turned to my brother who was attending with me and I said to him at the end of the show, now that is a production I would get behind in New York. So, I’m very proud to say that I have joined the producing team of BENJAMIN BUTTON, and I am utterly thrilled. We need this kind of humanity in the theatre and we need it now. We open on October 8 at the Public Theatre and go from there! No doubt Andrew Durand will be magnificent as Benjamin. @durandrew

Broadway World Review Alert! Stages St. Louis The 25th Annual Spelling Bee is a Winner!

Stages St. Louis opened their 40th Anniversary season with one of the most adorable and wittiest ensemble theater pieces written in the past 25-years. The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is the award winning, silly, and relatable musical comedy about a group of quirky middle schoolers competing to win a trip to a national spelling bee competition.

Stages St. Louis frolicsome production of The 25th Annual Spelling Bee is gleefully irreverent carefree fun. Directors Ron Gibbs and Gayle Seay capture the script’s humor and the heart that is carefully tucked inside the comedic playfulness.
