2025 NFL Combine Prep Internship with @gamefacetraining 🏁

The last few months of interning for TRIA GameFace’s NFL Combine Prep has been nothing short of amazing. Thank you to @deventrijordan and @dyantejordan for taking in the @umn_dpt crew as family and offering us an experience to learn from the best.

🧠 What I learned: This internship refined my perspective on interprofessional collaboration, as I worked alongside the performance coaches, nutritionists, and athletic trainer. As a Combine Prep intern, our responsibility was to assist the staff in providing world-class coaching and orthopedic care. Under their guidance, this included facilitating performance tests, cuing exercises, taping athletes, making smoothies, leading warm-ups, and so much more.

🏔️ Biggest Challenge: This experience didn’t fully exist until a few weeks before it actually started. Having the opportunity to build this internship from the ground up, with the help of @mckennaknipp and the guidance of @dyantejordan , definitely challenged my time management and critical thinking skills. We understood that an experience like this, especially for PT students, was one of a kind. And ultimately, we knew that we would do whatever it took to balance our academic commitments with this one of a kind opportunity. And trust me when I say it was so worth it.

⭐️ Biggest Takeaway: Mannnn lemme tell you these people are like family. The coaches, staff, and athletes all contributed to an environment that you WANT to be in. TRIA GameFace has set the standard of how a sports performance and rehab facility should operate, and more importantly, the type of culture you want to build in order make an impactful, meaningful, and lasting change.

TRIA GameFace has raised the standards, and I’m incredibly excited to take all that I’ve learned into every future endeavor.
