For Michael O’Malley, being involved at Creighton is about giving others the same sense of belonging he experienced as a first-year.

A sophomore studying marketing and management in the Heider College of Business, Michael has found meaningful ways to welcome new Bluejays through Summer Preview, Welcome Week and New Student Orientation.

The students who welcomed Michael to Creighton made a lasting impact on him. Now, he’s paying it forward.

“I want to help people feel welcomed at Creighton and give back because I have been given so much.”

Through the Magis Core, Michael is also learning to look beyond business, exploring theology, history, English and other disciplines that challenge him to see the world from different perspectives.

For Michael, leadership starts with making someone else feel like they belong. 💙
