Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get our other post out in time. But I was able to get this one. We have @michaelbruner_gb72 from @gbavondale72 coming to speak to our JCP in October!

We can’t wait to see you professor! It’ll be a lot of fun and we know very educational! See you October 24th!

My very first lesson as a black belt was during my promotion. I wouldn’t have it any other way. 🙇🏻‍♂️

“He who can put his finger upon that which divides good from evil is he who can touch the very hem of the garment of God.”

“If your heart is a volcano, how shall you expect flowers to bloom in your hands?”

“A strange form of self-indulgence! There are times when I would be wronged and cheated, that I may laugh at the expense of those who think I do not know I am being wronged and cheated.”

— Kahlil Gibran, Sand and Foam

I saw.
I understood.
I knew.

Thank you to those who were there for me. I am grateful for every person who has shared a part of this journey, in good times and difficult ones. And especially grateful to those who chose to stand beside me when they didn’t have to.

Some lessons are taught on the mats. Others are taught by the people we meet along the way.

Both are part of the journey. 🌹

After a lot of thought, our family’s time at Gracie Barra Avondale has come to an end. While it’s bittersweet, we leave with nothing but gratitude and respect.

To Professor, @michaelbruner_gb72 thank you for believing in us, pushing us to be better athletes, and, more importantly, helping shape our character. The lessons you’ve taught is extends far beyond jiu-jitsu. Your patience, dedication, and passion for your students have made a lasting impact on our family, and that is something we’ll always be grateful for.

To all of the coaches, teammates, and families we’ve had the privilege of training alongside—thank you for every practice, tournament, word of encouragement, and friendship. We have made memories that we’ll always cherish. We will miss @gbavondale72 dearly! It will always have a place in our hearts. @ultra_instinct_dad @brandipyt

Sometimes we don’t get the chance to post everything because we’re too busy enjoying the moments.

What an incredible week! Thank you, @jonathananderson_jj , for sharing your knowledge, experience, and, most importantly, the values of Gracie Barra with our students and coaching team. Your humility, professionalism, and passion for teaching made a lasting impact on all of us.

A special thank you as well to your professors and mentors, @analauragb and @tinocogb72 , for helping shape such an outstanding representative of the Red Shield.

Now it’s time to put the work into action. We can’t wait to watch our students give their best and chase their goals at Pans over the next couple of weeks.

Thank you for an unforgettable week. Our doors will always be open for you and your team. ❤️🥋
