It’s a big welcome back to the master that is Chris Palmer!

Chris is a voice, breath, movement, yin yoga, tai chi, Shakespeare and accent expert. Now celebrating her second book, exploring more about the voice and how some of the world’s leading practitioner’s methods can tie into vocal support helping you with pitch, resonance and articulation. Those include Michael Chekhov, Meisner and Stanislavski to name a few.

The book is called Voice Training Through Acting and Movement and is now available online as well as in major retailers.

Chris delves into the Meisner, Michael Chekhov and Stanislavski and how their methods can apply to training your voice as well as helping you develop the characters you play.

A 5-day intensive workshop focused on the principles of composition within the Michael Chekhov technique, and work on different styles and genres.

We explore how performance is created through improvisation, composition, and style — working with text, movement, space, and rhythm.

Psychophysical, imaginative, and demanding work connecting body, voice, and creative impulse.

Group size: up to 25 participants

Sharing the news that client, Lenard Petit passed away last week. We’re sending our condolences to his wife Meg Pantera, son Luke Pantera, previous students and friends. Celebrate his life and memory by being creative, exploring the world and get in touch with your inner clown.

Courageously @lenard.petit you went into the night, my dear friend and guide. There is more yet to come. Now however you are free of the physical body so loved and also burdensome. With all my heart I share this grief in this small joyous seen moment. To all that are writing condolences my way and of course to his family thank you and I’m with you too in your grief of a teacher gone. Emma

It is with great sadness and with love that the Chekhov community mourns the passing of Lenard Petit.

Lenard was a founding member of The Michael Chekhov Association, the Author of The Michael Chekhov Handbook, for the Actor, and the director of The Michael Chekhov Acting Studio in New York City.

Lenard, we thank you for your generosity of spirit, your guidance, and your joy.
