It’s the eve of “Better Luck Next Time” 🖤🤍

I wrote so many songs for this chapter, and I wish I could share every single one with you. But for now, I’ve narrowed it down to six.

These songs hold so much of me. They came from a very specific time in my life, and writing them gave me somewhere to put the feelings I didn’t always know how to process. There’s a lot of longing, heartbreak, hope, and growing up tucked away in them.

I feel like I took a bit of a risk with this one. I love all the music I’ve released so far, but I wanted to explore something different. Something a little darker, something that felt like it belonged to another time and another world.

She’s a little witchy, she’s a little western, she’s got one foot in reality and the other somewhere far away.

I’m so grateful to everyone who helped bring this little world to life, who saw the vision and believed in.

Better Luck Next Time is yours at midnight. 🤍

started writing the “good for long” ep in the spring of last year as a way to process my emotions (obviously) and had no idea what it would turn into. started this year with the first single “not your fault” and you guys reallyyyyyyy took that one and made it your own. then came “the aftermath” and “good for long” and every expectation i had for those songs were exceeded by you guys. my first ever features on the home page of @applemusic, sold out shows, the most incredible fan projects from you guys and soooo much more. as someone who has quite literally been writing music since i could talk, putting these collections of songs out means the entire world. pretty positive i was born with music in my veins. from the girl who could only dream of this, i am so eternally grateful. from my heart to yours, always. i. LOVE. you. more than you could know. LEXIES TAKEOVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

‘BLACK HOLE BABY BOTTOM FEEDER’ OUT NOW

My weirdest and most experimental song yet. I will have more words later but for now……. thank you to the best collaborators who did not laugh me out of the room when I said I wanted to add a 13th century gregorian chant to a song that already had countless key changes and tempo changes. It was an honor to curse my friends’ exes in the most dramatic way i know how.

I can’t believe it’s out y’all😭

My next single, “Black Hole Baby Bottom Feeder” is yours 9/18!!!!!! This one is special.

From a sonic perspective, it is, I think, me at my bravest and boldest. It is what I am proudest of.

From a writing perspective, I was deeply inspired by my friends’ exes (the black holes, the babies, and the bottom feeders.) So many stories that have made me scratch at the walls of my enclosure. So obviously I had to dedicate a song to them!!!!!

God I cannot wait for it to be yours🕳️🍼🐟
