What an incredible surprise it was to be nominated for a Gen Con Award!
It was a long 12-hour drive from New York to Indianapolis. The team was exhausted, but everyone was in great spirits and filled with positive energy. During the awards announcement, we all held our breath—and what an honor and pleasure it was to hear the title of our short film, Dragon and Me, announced as the winner of the **2026 @gen_con Ovid Award**!
🥇 The Ovid Award is named after the Roman poet Ovid, known for his immense influence on imaginative interpretations of classic myths. First presented in 2017, the award recognizes the “most interesting and creative story” among the Best Short Film entries, regardless of genre.

Just WOW. I am incredibly happy and proud of our film team, whose hard work, artistic vision, and creativity made this wonderful evening possible. Every contribution enriched the film and helped bring it to the next level.
🧡This award is for you, my dear team. Well deserved!
🤍I also want to express my deepest gratitude to the entire Gen Con Film Fest crew, and especially to Chuck Budreau, the festival president and organizer.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this incredible honor and unforgettable experience.

Another year wrapped and this is a big one!

Early 2026 will mark 10 years since I set up Moviebytes and started officially working as a freelance videographer / editor (initially as a side hustle) which I now do alongside the small (in size) but mighty (in passion) production company @golden.ticket.productions co-run with @jemmajd

It’s amazing to reflect on how things have evolved since then… the opportunities I’ve had, the people I’ve met, the skills I’ve built, the mistakes I’ve made and the lessons I’ve learnt.

Grateful for it all with this year alone seeing lots of fun projects, shoots in 2 new countries, conversations with interesting people, moments of hysterical laughter and moments where I’ve sobbed in my own time after capturing someone’s heartfelt story.

Where I can and when I remember we try to get some BTS when the camera is rolling, so enjoy this little reel which is a glimpse into some of the shoots completed over the past year. And with all of this filming I’ve had many many hours in front of an edit screen and late nights off juggling work and parenting.

So with that in mind (aside from one small remaining shoot on Tuesday) I’m very much looking forward to taking a few days off before things crank up again with what is set to be a busy start to 2026.

Happy festive season to everyone and thanks to clients, colleagues and collaborators, always! How many of you feature in this reel..?!😁

It’s a great pleasure to finally share with you the result of 5 years of work on the “Dragon and Me” short film.
🎥 Unfortunately, I am not allowed to share the full film yet due to the strict rules of film festival submissions, which require the right to the first screening in 2026. However, I am delighted to share the film trailer with you. Please enjoy!

🧡 Taking this opportunity, I’d like to give a HUGE shoutout to this incredible team—artists and true masters of their craft.
Without you, this film would NEVER have happened.
Five years in production is a long journey. Some of you have been with me from the very beginning, while others joined later.
Nevertheless, I am endlessly grateful for your skills, vision, support, and trust to each and every of you.
