NEWS: DAVID’S DREAM & BELIEVE DOUBLES EMPLOYEE COUNT “The local organization with a mission to provide hope through financial assistance, wellness services and patient support has doubled their employee count as of September 1, 2026. With only one employee for twelve of the sixteen years since inception, the grassroots nonprofit now employs two individuals: Co-Founder & Cancer Survivor David Caldarella and Managing Director Danielle Corso.” Over the past five weeks, I have found myself in countless beautiful conversations about David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation. Some of these conversations were with people who have been part of the organization since the beginning, others were with those who have recently invested themselves in our mission of hope, and some were just introduced to the work we do for families affected by a cancer diagnosis. I took the opportunity to inquire about our public persona, and many shared that our visibility in the community supported the assumption of an organization with at least ten paid employees and a steady stream of unlimited funding. 10 years of Black Sheep 🖤 Dear Mom, We haven’t talked in while... 20 years to the day, to be exact. So much has changed. I am not at all who you would remember at 26. At 36 I started a small business. I named it Black Sheep - after your two crazy kids. I was clueless then. At 46, I’m still clueless, but I can tell you this with a heart full of pride… Over the last 10 years Black Sheep helped me find my purpose, my voice, my community, my PEOPLE. Life’s lessons have been so hard to navigate without you, but I have the most incredibly supportive team behind me. Our family, my friends, my staff and our clients. I thank all the gods in all the universes everyday for the values you taught me, how to be resilient and never give up. I am proud of who I am, where I came from and what I’ve built. This beautiful, messy life of mine is just that - MINE and I wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you for walking by my side in my darkest days and lightest hours. I feel you with me, guiding me, celebrating what I’ve done and what I will continue to do in your honor. All my love, Devon We’re just getting started. Here’s to the next 10 years! 🐑

Back to school photos meet back to “cool” photos. Every year Kelly and I order our kid’s school photos in the fall and spring, for better or worse, we will always cherish them. (You know what I mean) But every year I try to take photos of the kids that represent them and their personality at this point in time. And finally I’ve come to the conclusion that this is definitely a service that Born by the Sea will be adding from here on. With that, I’d love to hear from you!
