In Manilla I met a retired Canadian who is staying on a small island and I'm invited to visit. The Canadian has led interesting life, with a life story full drama. I also meet locals on the island, fishermen with harsh lives. When the big typhoon hit they had been trying down their roof with rope to the amusement of neighbors. But after the storm the neighbors lost their roofs and they were not laughing anymore. A classic story about climate warnings that get ignored or mocked by the masses until it's too late. #thelarspost #cebu #phillipines
