It’s time for a SSC appreciation post! What a wild and sleepless weekend. My band @alteredrevelations got to play a crazy show at the RIP party and I’m so grateful for the opportunity. It was an absolute blast, thank you to @silverscreamcon for having us.

Thank you to @xghostplay for running merch, @adamreed.wav for taking these awesome pics of our show, @joeoqt for lending us his songbird voice on stage in Humanity, @_dawniewalker_ for recommending us, @mwinagar for being so attentive and organizing this whole thing, @leejennings for all the kind words on stage, and of course @iceninekills and @spencerink for making all of this possible in the first place.

around seven months ago i really got into @alteredrevelations, i had already listened to a couple of their songs ever since dig a grave was released but that was when i started looking into their discography more. i started noticing a reoccuring character "the architect" on their album covers that is wearing a mask covering half of their face and pretty much my first thought when i saw that was "how cool would it be to try to make that mask in real life?"

even though i had no prior experience with cosplay/prop making at all, i knew i wanted to try something new and i'm pretty happy with how it turned out! it took a long time and so much trial and error but i was lucky to have my dear friend @shizu.cosplay, who has a lot of experience with making cosplays, help me throughout the whole process!

since i knew from the beginning that this mask was going to be a gift for @lanenobriga i thought it would be cool to at least take some photos with it before giving it away. my super talented friend @neverending.light helped me out with that and i'm very happy with how they turned out!

i'm so grateful that i got the chance to gift the mask to lane and to see his and the bands reaction to it! it made the whole project so incredibly rewarding and inspired me to keep creating art inspired by their work.🖤
