At Campout 2024, ‘nohup’ was tapped by our guest curator @ccl_url to play the closing morning set at Hemlock Nights. Already a legend amongst our most clued-in music friends, ‘nohup’ quickly showed the rest of us why. This was a full set of Bobby’s infamous “afters classics” – sub 120bpm mayhem full of chug, and the perfect ending to the night. A recording that we continue to go back to for more. It was a no brainer to tap them to finish out our Back Room at H0L0!

'nohup' is a DJ, producer, and tool builder working in Seattle, WA. Their work moves music out of its original context: mixing records that were never meant to meet, slowing club tracks into long-form ambient reworks, and building browser tools like Bandcamp Tempo Adjust to change the tempo of music on the web. They operate the label `illegal afters tracks` and are a co-founder of Seattle’s Ground Hum music festival.

Just what we need to close the night out, and wrap up our artist features. We can't wait to do this party with y'all next weekend!

Picking up after @wngdu666 is NYC’s own Simisea. Hailing from the boundary-pushing Human Pitch label and SLINK parties, Simisea is at the forefront of Brooklyn’s experimental club landscape. This sound was on full display during his incredible Hemlock Nights set back at Campout 2022, as part of Davis Galvin’s guest curation of the stage. Brandon deftly took us into his zone of deep bass and slippery club rhythms. 'Equal parts booty and brain', he displayed a beautifully wide range of sounds that lit the place up.

For H0L0, he’ll be placed squarely in the peak hours of the Back Room – meaning that we’re in for a full Human Pitch experience.

Today, we run through our BACK ROOM lineup. This is a place for lower BPMs and sludgier sounds. Don’t be mistaken, this is *NOT* a chill room. It is an exploration of alt club rhythms that don’t rely on traditional 130+ BPMs to make their point. We’ll keep the lights off and the fog thick.

Kicking us off in this room is Denver’s wngdu. Some of the Campout sets we look forward to most every year are the extended opening blocks at The Grove. We place artists here who understand a proper buildup, restraint and tension. At Campout 2024, wngdu (aka Padi) threw down one of our favorite Grove openings to this day. It was pure psychedelic chug, taking 3.5 hours to stretch out and slowly bring the dance floor to a boil. The recording is always on repeat for us, and can’t wait for them to give us another dose in the H0L0 basement.

wngdu is an Iranian-American DJ, journalist, and visual artist born and raised in Denver, CO. Known for their versatile selections that skew toward the freaky and hypnotic, their sets effortlessly bridge snapping house, dark electro, techno, and leftfield club music. They are a resident for Denver’s Junk Drawer party and are founder of the Human Cluster Project (HCP), alongside collaborating as half of the duo Loudmen.

NEXT UP: SLINK’s Simisea!

What is left to say about the legend, Carlos Souffront? Detroit raised and now SF Bay Area based, very few DJs are capable of such mind-bending sets, and doing it over and over again.

Carlos holds one of the world's most formidable music collections. His sets defy genres; drifting effortlessly from visceral 303 acid lines and raw Midwestern techno into hazy, psychedelic dub, obscure synth-pop, and all kinds of leftfield electronics. Always tugging us through surprising twist and turns, its never possible to predict whats in store. We can’t think of anyone better to wrap the night up and send us into the morning in the form of a fine paste.

TICKETS: Limited 3rd release presales are still available, so don't wait. Grab yours at the link in our bio.

TOMORROW: We’ll talk low-slung and heavy stuff from our artists in the Dark Room.

We first became aware of 999ADJ via @dwellerforever’s impeccable Friday curation of The Grove at Campout 2025. Guiding such a high-octane night into the sunrise closing set is not an easy task, and they nailed the assignment with precision and finesse. From high-speed bass, techno and electro, they slowly nudged the BPMs down as the sky began to glow blue. By the time the foggy dancefloor became washed by the sunrise, we’d been transported effortlessly into gorgeous classic and hip-house. These are the types of dancefloor journeys that we think about for years.

999ADJ is a Toronto-based DJ, event curator, archivist, and creative director. Focusing on forward-facing Black music histories and underground club culture, they are the founder of the event platform @999heard —which highlights African electronic sounds and Black club music. We are so grateful to have gotten to know them via Campout, and can’t wait for them to take us on their trip into the later hours of the party.

Taking over after Carrie Sours is Sterling Juan Diaz! NYC born, and raised between there and the Dominican Republic, Sterling’s energetic, rhythm-driven sets have captured our attention over the past few years. From his extended mixes for Playground Radio to regular gigs around NYC and beyond, he’s another DJ showcasing an incredible range (there’s a pattern here!). His influences in hip-hop and Latin percussion are clear across any BPM he lands in, and he’s perfectly placed at the 12am rocketship zone in the Main Room. We can’t wait for this journey.

NEXT UP: Toronto’s incredible 999ADJ!

Kicking us off inside, we hand things over to our NEXT CARRIE. Carrie Sours is a DJ, musician, record producer, and organizer hailing from Cleveland and now digging deep roots with us in Pittsburgh alongside the Sweet Abyss collective. She’s moody, funky, and big time BEST weirdo – spanning a mind-boggling range of electronic music from electro, house, punk, new wave, industrial, boogie and everything you could possible find to move a dancefloor (or not a dance floor!).

We’ve fully converted to die hard Carrie followers, and her flawless Campout 2026 set at The Grove cemented our love even further. We can’t wait to give everyone another dose of Carrie to start the basement off just right.

To complete our evening warmup in The Garden at @h0l0.nyc before the action moves inside, we turn things over to the one and only CarrieOnDisco!

A legend hailing from London by way of the Bay Area, Carrie is a dance music lifer. Having started at the age of 14 at acid house parties in the UK, she's left her dent on house and disco on the best queer dance floors on boths sides of the Atlantic. One of our favourite multi-Campout DJs, there's nobody better to bring us to a euphoric peak before we shift inside for a wild basement ride for the rest of the night.

TOMORROW: we'll talk Main Room artists and time slots.

TICKETS: limited 3rd release still available, so don't wait. Grab yours at the link in our bio.
