Family Beach Trip 2023!
Last year the AC in our car broke as soon as we left home and 9-month-old Giaco was on a sleep strike thanks to his first few teeth popping through. This year we had a happy sand-loving toddler with all the necessary teeth and rest to eat snacks all day and wrestle with his cousins. ✌🏼 oh and the car AC worked 😎

Thank you thank you thank you, postal service workers for making possible the delivery of all of this JOY that I can hold in my hands and feel closer to faraway family and friends. We've been extra cautious and let our mail sit for a day or so before handling so this morning we opened a few days worth of envelopes emblazoned with familiar handwriting and stickers and drawings and it felt like Christmas morning or maybe Easter morning - a reminder that no distance is too far for Christ to travel, no darkness too dark for him to bring light, no earthly thing scary enough to separate us from love. 💌

Very fun baby-packed family weekend kick-off to summer part 1; sidewalk chalk and swaddles and sparkle glue and pigtails and burgers on the grill and puppy cuddles and gin cocktails and lots of hugs.

What a beautiful little moment in this big long life, a moment of grace in abundance.
.
My good friend Caroline recently said some words that I've since read over and over and they have filled my heart so, I need to share them:
.
"We don’t deserve the bounty or the sunlight that streams through the window, but God in his grace gave us a rich inheritance out of his abundance that calls for us to fling open our front door to say 'come on in!' to all neighbors and strangers and friends in our view. We inherited an inexhaustible beauty when Beauty was exhausted for us on the cross. And this beauty is meant to be shared. Christ invites us in to the beautiful and then compels us to invite others."
.
Thanks for this @carolinemariekolts. Praying I can consistently accept that gift of beauty and spread it abundantly to the strangers and friends in my view. Happy Tuesday, all!
