The exercise I demo’d for last weekend’s @lagaleriaroja workshop! The idea for the exercise was to bring all the principles of good illustration; design, drawing, composition, painting, etc. and to apply all that to a personal experience. I wanted to pursue this exercise from a personal angle, because each of our stories and experiences are just as (if not more) valid and important as anything we might be hired to do.

The image I made depicts the first time I saw my sisters (⭐️) in person in over a year after quarantine.

I had the most amazing time and I was overjoyed to meet each person who attended! I’ll share some of the art from the attendants to my story soon! ❤️

I just got my copy of Picture Book By Dog by my friend @michaelrelth! The final version is so good 👏🏽👏🏽🙌🏽! Tugging at the heart strings. This is a beautiful children’s book that teaches kids about the special bonds that are created when you give an animal a loving home. Not to mention I’m willing to bet it’s gonna put a tear or two in the eyes of an adult who’s already experienced how special that connection with your pet can be. If you feel your eyes welling up just blame it on the onions 😭🧅😜😂 #imnotcryingyourecrying #pets #adoptme #adoptdontshop #animallovers #adoptadog #foreverfriends #aussie #austrailianshepherd #dog #doglife #reading #books #bestfriends #calvinandhobbes

One year our dad got us knives and the next year he got us sharpening steels. We were thrilled. Hope you get everything you ever wanted this holiday season.
