P A U L My earliest memories of Paul Cavaco’s work are the images from Madonna’s infamous SEX book ( yes I may have only been 12 at the time, but the images were everywhere, even if they were censored ). The collaboration between himself, Meisel, Fabien Baron ( who would later bring Paul on board at Bazaar as co fashion director with Tonne Goodman, during Liz Tilberis’s epic leadership ), and of course the Material Girl, have become legendary! Paul is one of the industries greatest, having achieved it all! From starting his own creative agency ( KCD with late ex wife Kezia Keeble ), to styling some of Gianni Versace’s first campaigns, working with Avedon, Meisel, Weber, Peter and Patrick, Mario, and endless others of their calibre, Paul has had a hand in shaping some of fashions greatest images, and some of my personal favourites, and most memorable! From Bazaar, to Vogue, to Allure ( where he lead a team in creating the industries leading beauty magazine ), Paul has become a living legend in the fickle world of fashion. His vision and style has forever inspired me, and his humble attitude towards his work, admirable ( preferring to shy away from the spotlight, he once told me he didn’t like being credited, and preferred his work to do the speaking ). So in my continued celebration, highlighting some of my favourite fashion editors, this month my focus shifts to the formidable Paul Cavaco! Thanks also to Paul for being so kind and engaging with my constant barrage of inquiries 🙏🏽

T O N N E Clean, sophisticated, intellectual, paired back, minimalist, chic, these are just a few things that come to mind when I think of Tonne Goodman. One of the greatest in her industry, Tonne has worked with the best of the best, and produced some of the most incredible fashion moments in history. From modelling as a teen for Diana Vreeland, to working for Calvin Klein, it was when she was chosen by the late Liz Tilberis, at US Harpers Bazaar, to help usher in a “New Era Of Elegance”, that Tonne became fashion folklore. Her years at Bazaar as fashion director ( a role she shared with Paul Cavaco ) resulted in many iconic fashion editorials, many of which are some of my all time favourites ( Amber in that fallen Angel in New York story, Gisele as Maria Callas, or Kate by the water cooler ) prooving both inspirational and directional, helping create one of the most iconic fashion magazines of its time. Shortly after Liz’s passing, Tonne would move to US Vogue, calling the magazine home for more than two decades. Styling both celebrities and Supermodel, she was the quintessential American stylist amongst a team of mostly British creatives, lending a certain aspect in her work, once quoting she “I Can do other things” ( in 2012s Documntary “In Vogue: The Editors Eye” ), when discussing her unique, minimillist approach. Having collaborated with the likes of Demarchelier, Meisel, Testino, Terry Richardson, Inez & Vinoodh, Bruce Weber, Linda, Christy, Naomi, Amber, Gisele, Gigi, et al, Tonne is one of the greatest fashion editors of all time. This month I’m sharing some of my most beloved images styled by the talented Tonne!

Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock in ‘Newlyweds of the Year’

Despite their on again, off again and very public relationship, Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson decided to make things official in 2006 when the two got married. The marriage however, didn’t last long. Just long enough though for this editorial in GQ to be made. In the photos, the blissfully happy couple can be seen wearing items from adidas, Y-3, Azzedine Alaïa, Chrome Hearts, and many more.

When asked what the weekend routine at the Rock-Anderson household, this was their answer;
Pam: “Go ahead, babe.

Kid: Usually, we give the oldest kid the fake ID to run to the liquor store for us, teach him how to do it.

Pam: He looks 21.

Kid: There’s no curfew. Kids get to eat Twinkies. Stay up and watch movies. Pretty much a typical middle-American lifestyle.”
