Merry Christmas from Bay Library!
*
With so much to be grateful for this year I thought I’d share some highlights.
*
Firstly, much love to visiting friends who came bearing books and keeping the library flying. @nguyenphuonganh.pa @gormandgasp @dankeeffe

Thanks to friends, old and new, that came to the new year and summer series of the @th.o.ughtful craft club, co-hosted with @slorbward.

Big love to @_flame97 for letting me host a special @th.o.ughtful edition of the @saigonexperimental film festival in London.

It’s been a pleasure also to meet Anh Thư and Kim at @majorbooks.uk. So happy to see the launch of this independent press and looking forward to seeing it grow next year.

Massive thanks to co-librarian @lieninwhite for sending books and hosting @bay.library.sgn for another year at @3namstudio. And for sending the library off with @air.hue to take part in another art explosion at @no.cai.bum.

Love to @ito.collective for throwing the best looking book party over in the Netherlands and including the library there. Thanks again to Lien for connecting me to @maikasontrop to make this happen.

Lastly, very grateful for @elliejoyabbott and @tamsins.table throwing me some super cute baby showers and for everyone that came making it all less scary and more real. Love also to @itsmotoki and Prince the cat for being the best library companions.

Happy 2024 and see you all next year <3

🌿Spin N Gogh // Pottery Workshop // 221021

Last week some of the SCC crew regulars decided to try out a little something different…so we went to try out Spin N Gogh for a fun, hand building pottery afternoon workshop to make mugs! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

The workshop was about 90 mins in total and the group was able to learn some basic hand crafting model making and decorative techniques to build our own mugs!

If you would like to try out a little pottery taster and creative decorating session, we highly recommend checking out what Saigon has to offer in terms of wheel and hand building pottery! This is just one of the workshops available, with more individual, group workshops and classes available!

As well as Spin N Gogh, we would like to mention Meow Pottery and MUD Saigon and seeing what they offer in the way of pottery and ceramics fun - Please see the deets below and contact the studios for more information.

Studying abroad in Chengdu taught me lessons about the world and about myself that I will carry for the rest of my life. Thank you to all the amazing people I’ve met, including but definitely not limited to the people I remembered to take pictures with. Life is strange, and I hope it guides us in a way for it to be possible to meet again. Love y’all.
