THE FREE TRIAL OF A NEW LIFE | The BoilerRoom Koh Phangan New diet. New training plan. New morning routine. New productivity app. All started on Monday. By Thursday, you’re exhausted from managing your improvements. Perhaps one change at a time is enough. SELF:SYSTEM by ELENA SHOKOREVA SELF:SYSTEM • OneLife

You can spend every free hour building a business. But sleep, health, relationships and ordinary life also need time. A plan that spends the same hour four times has an accounting problem. I WANT IT ALL. RIGHT NOW. PREFERABLY WITHOUT THE EFFORT. Food arrives in half an hour. AI writes a business plan in a minute. Three yoga classes later, still no splits. That last part rather spoils the picture. We’re used to getting what we want quickly. So the ordinary time needed to learn or train can feel like a delay. We start practising. Results arrive more slowly than we hoped. We quit and try something else. We accumulate the fatigue of starting, while the skill never gets time to develop. Yoga makes this visible. The body needs effort, repetition and recovery. Wanting faster results doesn’t change that sequence. But how long should we keep going? It helps to decide three things in advance: • How much time will I give this process? • What changes will tell me it’s working? • When will I review the result and decide what to do next? Now patience has a reason. If things are changing, I continue. If they aren’t, I examine the effort, the method and the goal itself. We can give results time without spending years on something that isn’t working. SELF:SYSTEM by ELENA SHOKOREVA Understanding and managing your own life. What happened and what you think about what happened are two different things. Yoga makes this easy to see. You lose balance. That is a fact. “I am bad at this” is already an interpretation. You feel tension. That is a fact. “Something is wrong with me” is a conclusion. You are tired today. That is a fact. “I am becoming weak” is a story about what the fact means. The mind does this very quickly. Something happens, and almost immediately we explain it. The explanation may be correct. It may also be incomplete or completely wrong. This matters because we often react not to what happened, but to what we decided it means. Someone does not answer. Fact. “They do not care about me.” Interpretation. A project produces a poor result. Fact. “I am not capable.” Interpretation. Someone disagrees with you. Fact. “They do not respect me.” Interpretation. The interpretation may eventually prove correct. But it is not the same thing as the original fact. SELF:SYSTEM begins with this separation. What happened? What do I know? What am I assuming? This small distinction can change the next action. Instead of fighting an imagined problem, you can investigate the real one. Instead of judging yourself, you can look at the result. Instead of deciding what another person thinks, you can ask. Instead of turning one difficult moment into a conclusion about your whole life, you can keep it at its actual size. Yoga gives us a simple practice. Feel the body. Notice the breath. Observe what actually happened. Then decide what it means. Reality first. Interpretation second. The purpose is not to stop interpreting life. We need interpretation to understand the world. The purpose is to remember when we are dealing with a fact and when we are dealing with our explanation of it. That difference creates clarity. And clarity makes better decisions possible. Show up. Show up tired. Show up sad. Show up angry. Show up anyway. Move your body. Get out of your head Gym. Yoga. Dance. Drums. A slow Walk. Whatever. Just move. Practice. Practice. Practice. You don’t have to feel good. You won’t always. Just fucking show up.

Balance is not something you find once. It is something you keep adjusting. Yoga makes this visible. You find balance. Then the body moves. The weight shifts. The breath changes. You adjust again. Nothing went wrong. The conditions simply changed. Life works the same way. There may never be a perfect point where health, money, work, relationships, family, rest and your own needs stay permanently balanced. One area needs more attention today. Another needs less. Sometimes you have more energy. Sometimes less. Sometimes the best action is effort. Sometimes it is recovery. The mistake is expecting balance to become permanent. A living system keeps changing. So balance has to remain dynamic too. This changes the question. Not: “How do I finally get my life completely under control?” But: “What needs my attention now?” This is one of the ideas behind SELF:SYSTEM. SELF:SYSTEM is a system for understanding and managing your own life. Not to make life perfect. To see your current coordinates more clearly and make a more accurate next decision. Where am I now? What is happening? What resources do I actually have? What matters now? What needs care? What can wait? What is enough for today? Yoga gives us a physical practice of the same principle. Notice. Adjust. Return. Continue. You do not fail every time you lose balance. Returning is part of balancing. And perhaps this is a more realistic way to live. Not constantly waiting for the day when everything is finally solved. But learning to take care of the life that exists today. BALANCE IS NOT A FIXED POINT Plans change. Energy changes. People change. Circumstances change. So life cannot be “fixed” once and for all. Balance is a process: see the facts notice the shift understand the cause adjust the action Not a perfect life. A living system we keep recalibrating. SELF:SYSTEM by ELENA SHOKOREVA SELF:SYSTEM by ELENA SHOKOREVA

MASTER OF LIFE Not a perfect life. Not a life under total control. Not a system for the sake of a system. A vibrant, strong, and fulfilling life. Seeing reality. Not lying to oneself. Knowing where you stand. Taking care of your body and energy. Bringing order to things. Building a solid foundation. Doing what matters. Loving without controlling. Helping without playing the rescuer. Respecting yourself and the freedom of others. Recognizing the consequences of your actions. Making mistakes, adjusting, and moving forward. Being grateful for what is. Creating good for yourself, your family, others, and the world. A master of life is not someone whose life is perfect. A master of life is someone who knows how to live with reality and regain their balance when life changes. SELF:SYSTEM by ELENA SHOKOREVA SELF:SYSTEM by ELENA SHOKOREVA

Today is not preparation for life. Today is life. Yoga makes this easy to see. You cannot breathe tomorrow. You cannot balance yesterday. You can only work with this body, this breath, this attention, this moment. Life is the same. We often wait for a better state, more money, more certainty, the right person, the right project, the right time. Meanwhile, life is already happening. Presence does not mean forgetting the future. It means not losing the present while preparing for it. SELF:SYSTEM begins here: What is true now? What matters now? What can I do well from this point? You do not need a perfect day. You need contact with the day you actually have. This day is part of your life. Live it accordingly. SELF:SYSTEM by ELENA SHOKOREVA

Order begins with self-honesty: what is, what I want, what I do, where it leads.
