It breaks my heart that some children are still waiting for someone to notice they exist."

At Open Door Mugerwa Foundation Uganda, we meet these children every day. Kids who don’t need pity — they need presence, care, and opportunity.

Thank you to every donor and friend who chooses to notice, to show up, and to give hope. You remind them that they are seen, they are valued, they matter.

Teaching Kids Responsibility at Home 🏡📖

“Train up a child in the way he should go…” – Proverbs 22:6

The Bible reminds us that teaching children to work starts at home. Small chores build big character — responsibility, discipline, teamwork, and gratitude.

At Open Door Mugerwa Foundation Uganda, we teach our children that work is not a burden, it’s a blessing. Sweeping, washing dishes, tending the garden… each task shapes hearts ready to serve.

Thank you to our donors and caregivers who help us raise children who are not only educated, but also equipped for life.

Yesterday, we shared the story of children fetching water from this source. Today, we discovered why the water looks this way—animals use the same water for drinking.

Sadly, this is the water many families and children depend on every day.

We believe every child deserves clean and safe water. Join hands with us to bring hope, health, and clean water to this community.

💧 Together, we can change lives, one drop at a time.
