Marble, all the way through.
A long vanity carved from the stone, its basin sculpted into the top, the veining carried on across the walls and floor.

A guest bathroom designed as a warm, intimate retreat.
Smoked oak wraps the entire space, contrasted with travertine and an intricate floor pattern playing with two shades of stone.
A study in warmth, texture and proportion — all built around one obsession: symmetry.

Guest bathroom wrapped in smoked oak and natural travertine, featuring an intricate two-tone stone floor, a sculptural agate artwork, symmetrical wall lights and a dark console. The House I Dreamt | Bedroom interior concept.

This house started with a dream.

One night, I dreamt of a house with unusually vivid detail, its spaces, proportions, colours and atmosphere. This bedroom was part of it.

When I woke up, I could still see it clearly enough that I decided to draw it and try to turn that image into an actual architectural project.

From there, the dream slowly became more precise.

In the bedroom, I designed the dark wood panelling to wrap around the bed and continue onto the ceiling, creating a more intimate space within the room. The sculptural green bedside tables were designed specifically for it, bringing a glossy and slightly unexpected contrast to the warmth of the wood.

The Pierre Frey Amo Tricolore – Canard carpet (@lamaisonpierrefrey ) adds another layer of colour and texture, while the Bekki Sconce, Amber wall lights by Micheal Amar Studio (@michel_amar) give the room the soft, warm glow I remembered.

On the burgundy wall, a Rothko introduces another depth of red, almost dissolving into the architecture rather than simply decorating it.

The interesting part came after the dream: finding materials, objects and proportions capable of recreating a feeling that had never existed in reality.

Dreamt first. Designed afterwards.

OPUS ROUND TABLE

I designed a round table so there wouldn’t be a head of the table.

A table designed for togetherness, so that everyone can find their place at it.

A simple circle made to bring people together.

OPUS CONSOLE

I love the idea that a piece of furniture can welcome us home.
That’s why I often include a console table in my interior designs.
We place on it the things we bring home, but also the things we choose to display: an object, a book, flowers, a keepsake…

OPUS COFFEE TABLE

When I look at the monuments of ancient civilizations, I admire the contrast between the raw nature of the materials and the delicacy of the craftsmanship.

The OPUS coffee table is also made up of solid stone modules that have been cut and assembled.
Shaping the stones, revealing the artwork.

OPUS LONG SUSPENSION

Composing the material to reveal the artwork.
In this suspension, light travels through the alabaster like a living material, contrasting beautifully with the strictness of the bronze. I conceived each inlay as a precious intervention, transforming the raw structure into a luminous architectural signal.

Ancient architecture and ornamentation fascinate me.
I have drawn from them a geometry and a technique that transform the assembly of stones into a work of art.

I am excited to share my new OPUS collection with you.

Michel Amar, with over 30 years of experience, combines French elegance with Mediterranean influences to create unique, sculptural pieces that blend art and functionality.

The Coba Sconce, crafted in travertine or alabaster, reflects his signature approach of transforming natural materials into timeless objects through exceptional craftsmanship.

For this Parisian home by @michel_amar , I followed the natural light coming in from the garden.

It reveals the pale wood, marble, soft curves and touches of colour, and shows how @michel_amar brings architecture, furniture and materials together
