Day 12: Travel day back to Reykjavík. As soon as we arrived, we headed into town for some free time, as we shopped for a fancy dinner or even souvenirs. In the rain, Paige and I were running around trying to get little souvenirs for our families. When the clock struck five pm, we all gathered at a fancy restaurant, when we were surprised with one special guest Grace, who had to leave halfway through the trip. ☹️ Most of us shed some tears, but had an amazing time eating dinner with our new best friends. That night, the girls were planning on an all-nighter because we had a few friends leaving at 4am in the morning. Some did not stay up but Quincy had an early early flight, so she woke me up to say goodbye. Thank god we were rooming all together ❤️
watch the cute little video of us being locked out of our room because we left our key card and everyone was sleeping ☺️☺️

Day 13: Saying goodbye to all our new
best friends was the hardest part. This trip had zoomed
by without us even realizing. Thanks to the amazing
leaders Erica, Aaron, and Chris as well as the whole Putney Pit. As we slowly departed away from one another, we had
lunch at the airport in New York after a five hour flight
from KEF. We had our goodbyes with the rest of the
group and Paige, Colin and I headed back to California.

Both Paige and I want to thank POLAHS and our
sponsor for being able to give students this AMAZING
OPPORTUNITY, this will forever stay in our hearts and
will always be thankful. Through this program we were
able to learn so many things about Icelands culture,
people, the history, glaciers, waterfalls (fosses), and so
much more
Paige and I became so much closer due to this trip and
I would never regret going on this trip with her. Thank you
POLAHS& our sponsor

Also thank you leaders, and our amazing putney pit. could’ve have made the 2 weeks without you all.
🇮🇸❤️
