🌈 THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE WERQ! 🌈
Utah, we brought ALL the rainbow and color and you SHOWED UP! (No surprise there 🙌)

So much love for everyone who came out, danced hard, and brought their whole selves to the room. You are the heartbeat of WERQ! The energy you bring, the joy, and the willingness to show up as you are and give it your all. You are the air we breathe and the reason we keep doing what we do. We missed those who couldn’t be there 🫶!

@ambermorefit led us with her UNMATCHED energy and heart. 🔥 This woman is a FORCE! Her energy, talent, and ability to connect with every person in the room make you want to give it everything you’ve got. What a gift she is in every way!

Our girl @haley.werqfitness hit a bump (or a few 🥴) on the yellow brick road getting here 💛, but you better believe we danced HARD for her! What she’s built goes far beyond a dance class. She’s brought people together, created a space where everyone belongs, and sparked a community that continues to grow and impact lives. We felt you in that room, Haley! 💜

And we CANNOT forget @katibtrfly , the orchestrator behind it all! 🙌 She’s the swan legs paddling like crazy beneath the water so the rest of us can float seamlessly on top. All the details, coordination, and behind-the-scenes work that go into bringing something like this to life-that’s Kati! So much gratitude for all she does that most people never even see.

And our Utah TeamWERQ crew… 🫶 Dance friends turned family. What started in class has grown into friendships that carry us through life. We show up for each other on and off the dance floor, and that’s what makes this community so special. Grateful for each of you and all we continue to build together. 🤟

Let’s keep showing up, dancing together, and building this beautiful community. There’s truly nothing like it.

SEE YOU IN CLASSES!

🚨Adult Hip Hop Pop-Up 🚨

Tuesday, July 28 | 7:00 PM | @the.refinery.academy

All levels. No experience needed.
The cost? Just showing up for yourself… and maybe inviting a friend to do the same.

We’ll spend the night learning a few fundamentals, a fun combo, and proving that you’re never too old to try something new.

Don’t talk yourself out of it because you think you don’t belong. You do. Every single one of us starts somewhere. If you’ve been waiting for a sign… this is it.

And one more thing… keep an eye out for weekly Tuesday night classes during the school year. Start blocking those nights off now.

Because adults deserve studio time too. ✨

Danced and sang the night away (until 10:15) with my birthday buddies, the best Qrew ever and Larry who ALWAYS steals the show.

This was the song I chose for the Werq Your Heart Out Challenge! It was great revisiting some oldies, learning some new choreo, dancing with the Qrew and seeing videos posted from all over the country. Werq is made for all different abilities, ages and body shapes and can be done at home or at a gym/studio. I hope these videos portray what a great community we have and how dance truly connects us. So much more than a workout, but also such a fun way to get moving. February is heart month, so whether your thing is dance or something else, I hope you find your thing and get moving this month 💜. Follow @werqfitness to watch videos and keep with the monthly challenges. #werqyourheartoutchallenge #werqdancefitness #thefitstop #homewerq

Soul Play.

When I first saw the pic on the left taken 9 years ago , I thought—“Yikes, my mouth is wide open!” And then the photo on the right was taken a few weeks ago. Yes…my mouth is wide open again…Then I realized… that’s what pure JOY looks like.

I started dancing in 2014 at age 54—and I’ve never looked back. It feeds my body, mind, and most of all… my soul.

Today is International Dance Day, and I’m sending big love to my dance instructors in Heber City & Park City. You’ve given me a gift I cherish.

Nope—I’m not a technical dancer. I forget the moves, flinch at some lyrics (hello, Grandma filter), and I’m usually the oldest “girl” in class.
But I show up with passion. Nearly Every Time.

This is what I call Soul Play—when time fades and JOY takes over.

Bonus: I’ve met the most amazing women through dance.
SO. MUCH. FUN.👯‍♀️🙌🎉🤩🎶

A truly welcoming @werqfitness community in Utah OMG🥰

I’ve known @jennywilson.dance for over a decade and finally had the chance to experience the HEART and SOUL of her community💜💫

The All Missy playlist was humbling but such a joy to see everyone enjoying my choreography! I’ve accumulated quite the choreographic library - spanning 12 years! The best creative outlet for me and getting to share my passion and art form with others is the icing on the cake called life😌

Feeling grateful, proud, appreciative and INSPIRED by every single body in that room! Thank you🙏🏼💞

We danced, we sweat, we played, we left it on the floor and then some. This format, the team, the people leave judgement out the door. We connect through movement, we create bonds through rhythm, and overall better our health and wellness together. The floor is open and safe for YOU! Join a WERQ class to experience this goodness.

@missyvacala thank you for your ongoing commitment to excellence and versatility in what you bring to WERQ choreo. A Missy filled playlist was absolute 🔥. To top it off, having your spirit, energy, professionalism, and high caliber of teaching in flesh was such a gift 🙌
