i got the privilege of staffing an @eftours training tour in barcelona recently!! we invited over 30 first time group leaders from alabama and south carolina. 10 of those folks are who i work with directly on a day to day basis but only get to hear them on the phone or zoom usually! i absolutely loved being able to meet and interact with them in person, learn more about their passion for student travel, and have some fun and laughters!

in the morning we would have sessions to prepare the future group leaders for their 2026 trips, and in the afternoon we did some sightseeing around the city. saw and did all the classics like park güell, gothic quarter, the beach, a flamenco show, ate tapas, paella and drank some tinto de verano of course. i am so deeply fortunate for all the opportunities EF has given me and so many others to explore the world and connect with likeminded people.

to my group leaders- i hope you enjoyed this experience as much as i did!! i appreciate you and your dedication to bring students from SC lowcountry out of the classrooms and into the world, and i can’t wait to keep partnering together! 🥰

Today our team was invited to go to the South Carolina State House to show off our robot and to be and ambassador for First Tech Challenge and for FIRST as a whole. We had a great time showing off our robot and listening to the presenters and are so glad to have had this opportunity!

Another belated congratulations to our amazing team as we placed first overall at the SC State Championship in late February, by winning the Inspire Award, the Promote Award, and were selected as a finalist alliance. While at the competition, we had the chance to be interviewed by SCETV as per of their promotion for Girls in STEM. Due to our accomplishment by winning the Inspire Award at the state competition, we have been invited to attend the World Championships next week in Houston, TX. Congratulations team!
