Bilateral mastectomy on Monday was a success💪🏼it ended up taking longer than anticipated. We were planning of 5 hours and it took 7 because my amazing surgeon wanted to make sure she took time and got everything. We still just know the basics-we'll learn more after everything has been biopsied, but both surgeons felt good about it!
The frozen biopsy on the one lymph node that reacted to the dye came back cancer free 👏🏼 they will still make sure by doing a more thorough biopsy along with the tumor and surrounding tissue. We are hopeful that I won't need radiation so far and are praying for a full pathological response💕

I've been home since Tuesday afternoon after a one night stay in the hospital. I had some yucky nausea in the hospital 🤮 but that has improved 👏🏼 Pain is probably what you'd expect 🤷🏻‍♀️ I've been able to manage it by staying on top of my meds. Brad is killing it stripping my drains, dumping, measuring and documenting 💉 I'm trying really hard to not use my arms 🤦🏻‍♀️

I have a follow up with plastics on the 30th and my breast surgeon on the 1st. We should get results from biopsies at those appointments (and get the drains out 🙏🏼) unless we hear back sooner. We'll post any updates when we get them 😊 thanks SO much for all of the love, prayers and support!
