March 9, 2014, 10:51 AM — “Tug of War”, 25yo I’ve never been aware of why the idea of ‘creating’ seems to create such anxiety within me. There is this intimidation and this understanding [ I believe] that once you begin to unravel and truly dig into something, it becomes quite hard to turn back. I’ve always had this sense of awe when viewing artists who use different mediums create works of art that aren’t “obvious.” That they too have gone through a process of unveiling and destructing to become such profound iconoclasts. These last few months I’ve tried to deny this awareness. This ‘coping’ mechanism unfortunately is in no way successful, hence the anxiety. You will find that in these diary entries are such struggles. These desires to move forward and explore what excites and inspires me and this brand and with this the often louder fear of exposure. This tug of war. “Swallowed by the sea” sung on iPhone 8.26.26 12:35pm and directed by @therealcamanthony to share.

An MM Diary Entry: New York City, Nov 19th 2010, 6:49am “Listening to Speed of Sound by Coldplay...one of my all-time favorites since high school. I’ve always strived to see things other people didn’t see in art, spirituality, logic, etc. There were times when I actually prayed for a little bit of insanity because I felt that it would enable me to dig deeper...Overall, this song captures well the idea of the unknown—the mysticism and worlds that we never see because we are too caught up in what is not “now.” I’m no Eckhart Tolle, as I strive to make better the future and experience a better now, but I do hope to see the speed of sound and all of those beauties God intended for us to see, but we seemed to have lost along the way. A little deep for the morning.”

During Black History Month this year, @sherri.mcmullen collaborated with @stephencurry30 team to style his tunnel walks and highlight underrepresented Black designers and their amazing work. This was a dream project for us to work on to further our mission of supporting emerging talent. We were excited to continue this partnership into the @nba finals to turn up the heat down the tunnels and spotlight more incredible brands. Congratulations to the @warriors on their incredbile championship win this year! What a major moment for the Bay area! Special thanks to @sc30inc @byslr and all of our partners @richfresh @telfarglobal @romeohunte @fearofgod @adedehye @stampd @akintundeahmad @june79nyc @michelmendiary @currybrand @trophyhunting @justinwesley @driesvannoten @newbottega @thombrowne @commedesgarcons @rickowensonline @brunellocucinelli_brand @talleyandtwine @jerrylorenzo @spencerbadu @godspeed , it was a honor to work with everyone and a complete thrill for our team to see @stephencurry30 walk out in our looks to support these important brands this season. “If nothing else, Steph wearing my clothes helps solidify my brand. I’m an independent operator, so moments like this are very important for the growth of my brand. And when he wears my clothes, it makes other N.B.A. players pay attention.” - @richfresh said to @nytimes . Thank you for your coverage of @sherri.mcmullen collaboration with @stephencurry30 ! This was an epic moment for us at McMullen and we're excited to see what the next season brings. Go @warriors! #McMullenTurns15 #ourblackpartnersatmcmullen #blackhistorymonth #nbafinals
