~FLIPPING THROUGH THE PAGES📄

Senior BFA Capstone PART 1: I truly could not have asked for a better experience cultivating an immersive display of movement, embodying the words written on the pages of my new novel, ‘Different Fonts.’

To my cast, I cannot say enough about you all. Your dedication, commitment, and love throughout this process has made every second of work feel like the opposite of work. Each of you have something special and unique inside of you that make you the authentic artists you are. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for committing to my piece, and for trusting me to create on you!

To @michigangmen , thank you for adding your unique talent to my vision. Your constant drive throughout meant the world to me. I am forever grateful!

To the production team and crew, the entire show would have not been what it was without you all! From props, to lighting, to projections, to projections, etc. thank you eternally for all of your hard work!

To my mentor Shannon Gillen of @vimvigordance , I cannot thank you enough for your guidance, wisdom, and feedback throughout this process. I am thankful for all I have learned from you these four years and will forever look up to you as a professor I will never forget.

To my family and friends, thank you for your unwavering support in everything, ALWAYS. You taking the time to drive all this way is something I will never forget! Each of you mean the world to me more than you know.

After careful consideration and many months of thoughtful discussion, the Sopranos and the @michigangmen have officially come together to form a single, unified ensemble. This decision represents not just a merger of two talented groups, but a true coming together of voices, ideas, and hearts. We have spent countless hours reflecting on how best to celebrate our collective talents, strengthen the bonds within our a cappella community, and create an environment that allows every member to thrive artistically and personally.

We are incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received from our friends, families, and fellow musicians throughout this process. Your encouragement, guidance, and enthusiasm have reminded us why we do what we do and have inspired us to push the boundaries of what collaborative music-making can be. Every rehearsal, every performance, and every shared laugh has led us to this exciting moment, and we could not have reached it without the people who have stood by us every step of the way.

Moving forward, we are committed to building a vibrant, inclusive, and dynamic ensemble that reflects the passion and dedication of all our members. We are excited to explore new repertoire, share our voices with the community in innovative ways, and continue to uphold the tradition of excellence that has defined both groups for so many years. This is more than a merger—it is a celebration of unity, creativity, and the joy of making music together. As well as emphasizing the importance of checking the date.
