Mickey Lyxx Releases New Single “Dolores”

Mickey Lyxx releases “Dolores,” a new single inspired by the Grito de Dolores (Cry of Dolores), the historic call to rebellion that helped ignite the Mexican War of Independence in 1810. Centered around Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla’s famous declaration in Dolores, Guanajuato, the song explores a pivotal moment that marked the beginning of Mexico’s fight for independence from Spanish rule.
Blending melodic metal with classic heavy metal influences, “Dolores” takes an atmospheric and emotionally driven approach while maintaining Mickey Lyxx’s signature focus on history and storytelling. Powerful guitar work, dynamic vocals, thunderous drums, and cinematic elements capture the tension and revolutionary spirit surrounding one of the most significant moments in Mexican history.
The single features Mickey Lyxx on guitar, Jill Gioia on vocals, and Steve MacQueen on drums, combining powerful performances with cinematic storytelling to bring this historic moment to life.
Reflecting on the creation of the track, Mickey Lyxx shares:
