[1/5] 10 months ago I went to a show bc a friend-of-a-friend was directing it and it was the middle of omicron winter in NYC so there was nothing else to do.

What I witnessed was one of the most striking and demanding pieces of theater I have ever seen. Rita Kalnejais' extraordinary work asks the world of its audience. What is on the page is so very simple. Our production, lead by the incomparable and visionary @jackserio, is so very simple. The introspection and consideration required from spectators of @thisbeautifulfuture, however, is immeasurably and inconceivably complex. I have heard hundreds of unique responses to the play over the past 6 weeks, ranging from outrage to inspiration - from fear to hope. What I have never once heard is apathy. It is simply impossible to - as @theatermania put it - "walk away from This Beautiful Future having felt nothing."

Thank you to everyone who put a piece of themselves into this production. I am very proud and humbled to have produced your incredible work.
