⭐️STORY TIME⭐️

I was born with EXTRA bones in my feet. 👣
That has caused several problems since I was young- injuries, movement restrictions, LOTS of discomfort/pain, scoliosis even..!

I’ve constantly had to learn and experiment with my training and recovery for different sports, dancing, or just to live life with less pain.

These drills specifically, have helped me RUN with less pain, longer distances, and to feel more freedom in my body!

#GRATEFUL for this body, for my hunger to always be a student, and for the ability to share what works for me with others!

More to come in my program: GROUND WORK

There’s no one perfect warm-up, perfect workout, perfect training regimen, or single strategy that works best for everyBODY. What works for my body might not be what yours needs.

The real work is learning your own body:
→ What does it need to warm up and mobilize?
→ What does it need to activate so you can create tension and stability?
→ How does it need to build up before you load it heavy or move explosively?

When you understand that, you stop copying routines and start training with intention.

So ask questions, take notes, but make it your own. 💪

The sweetest therapy mini horses and pups came to our @sdsoap meeting! Thank you @soulpawsrecoveryproject for sharing their love and kisses with us. What a gift to our mental health and substance abuse industry these animals are. Grateful we got to experience a little of the work they do! And, yes, JJ the horse is public restroom potty trained but likes privacy! Amazing creatures. Thank you to everyone who participated and made it our largest turn out to date! @micklag @keleasley @all_satchs_fault_ @johntaypark @stephanetrawalter @megankschneid @scottshs @rubyyychocolateeeeee @kalimashakti108 @villakalima.recovery @benjilove247

💔 This is why LEVEL OF CARE matters so deeply in addiction treatment.

Our hearts go out to Presley’s family and everyone who loved him. Losing a child is an unimaginable kind of grief & this is a heartbreaking reminder that not everyone struggling with substance use needs the same level of support.

Sober living is not detox or residential treatment, and it does not provide 24/7 medical or clinical care.

Every person deserves care that matches their medical, psychiatric, and substance-use needs… and that level of care may need to change over time.

➝ Getting someone into treatment matters.

➝ Making sure they’re in the right level of care matters just as much.
