Technically, ghetto house and juke music brings us peace!
House music creates an opportunity for us to harmonize and connect within a space and time across dance floors and across the nation. The recipe is derived from the same thing that brought us soul food. These are soul sounds of the street. Chicago House Music - Ghetto Techno Juke #chicago #dance #producer #tribe #housemusic

Birthday weekend Part 2!!!. Two gigs. And a message.

This Friday: Sequence 1 Year Anniversary. 2:30-4
Secret location, ticket only. I'm on the main room lineup with Kala, Enzo, Jakmin, Qualia, IAmBrandon, and Chet Maxlow. It's going to be a journey.

This Sunday: Under The Bridge 2026. I'm going B2B with Microdot at 7pm. The day rolls on with Dorian James, Valentina Capp, Dela, Rob Threezy, and House13. Ping Tom Memorial Park, right under the city. Free!

And to everyone who saw my comment about ARC and Auris, and the corporate festival machine, thank you. You proved the point. The only way they learn is through our wallets and speaking up. Stop feeding the machine that doesn't feed us back. Support local. Support independent. Support each other.

Let's make this weekend count. See you on the dancefloor. 💜🎛️

Chicago House Music Festival & Conference takes over the city this weekend, and honestly, it deserves a lot more attention than it gets.

The free four-day celebration runs August 27-30 with house music events happening all over Chicago. It starts Thursday at the Daley Plaza Farmers Market, followed by SummerDance in Grant Park on Friday, before the biggest day of the weekend takes over Millennium Park on Saturday.

And Saturday is way bigger than just one stage.

There’s the Jay Pritzker Pavilion Stage, the Soulful House Stage on the North Promenade, the Chicago House Stage on the South Promenade and another full lineup at the Millennium Hall Double Clutch Beer Garden. They’ve got multiple areas running throughout the day, including a huge tent stage, with different sounds and generations of Chicago house represented across the park.

Then on Sunday, the festival heads to the west end of the Riverwalk for one more day of music.

The city actually puts together something pretty special for this one. Multiple stages, great production, a stacked lineup and Millennium Park as the backdrop. Four days celebrating a genre that was literally born in Chicago, and it’s all free.

So why does it still feel like it flies under the radar every year?

This year’s lineup wasn’t even announced until August 5, just 22 days before the festival started. For something celebrating one of Chicago’s biggest contributions to music, three weeks of promotion just doesn’t feel like enough.

House music has become a global movement. Festivals around the world have built entire brands around a sound that started right here, while Chicago’s own celebration of it can somehow sneak up on the city every summer.

We already have the stages, the artists, the history and one of the best settings in the city.

This should be one of Chicago’s biggest weekends of the summer.
