Tonight @monqui_presents @edgefieldconcerts and #loungeonthegreen close out our 2026 season with a sold out show with @jackjohnson and special guest @phillyglove
The lounge is stocked with @smithteamaker teas and Nitro infused chai, pour overs and cold brew from @roselinecoffee , and as always, we are happy to take a hot coffee and fill it up with ice. We have functional mushroom gummies from @microjoyful and postcards and so much more.
We’ve had an amazing 22 shows this season, and the Lounge has hosted 50 bands and crews, kicked off numerous tours, and hosted nearly 20 after parties. Providing backstage services for the past five years has been an amazing run, and we’re already working on upgrades for 2027. Starting tomorrow, we’ll begin our annual process of dismantling and removing every piece of the venue, leaving a field and trees once again. @sweetandsalty.pdx @groundworkorganics

Tomorrow is our final show of the @monqui_presents @edgefieldconcerts series, show number 22, as we welcome @ and special guest @phillyglove to the stage and to my #loungeonthegreen
This marks my fifth year backstage with the Lounge, and each year I’ve expanded both the footprint (we now have three lounges!) and offerings.
Few things give me as much pleasure, purpose, and reaffirm my belief that “radical hospitality” should be the new norm for touring artists and crews.
I want to thank @smithteamaker and @zackagopian who have been with me from day one, and whose boxes of teas have made it onto the buses of over 100 tours thus far.
Thanks to @roselinecoffee whose amazing beans and cold brew have blown minds and kept our guests focused and upright. This partnership came through @ladyconnie who arguably may do more for this city than anyone I know.
I’ve used the full line of @microjoyful products from the day they were released, with amazing results. Buy their stuff, it works!
Our berries have been sourced from @groundworkorganics from the start, and their crew is as lovely as their produce. Best berries in Portland, and yes, I will fight you.
The absolute best cookies ANYWHERE are provided by @sweetandsalty.pdx . I’ve worked with since the day they opened, and long before that when they were in the cannabis edibles space. Their cookies were so good, @lcdsoundsystem insisted on two full platters. When in Portland, you must go there.
Starting Tuesday, we’ll begin tearing down and loading out the entire venue, like a Tibetan sand mandala that exists and is then gone.
I’m already planning additional upgrades for our 2027 season, which may or may not include a sauna and cold plunge.
Big love to every artist, crew member, afterparty attendee and VIP we hosted. Stay safe out there, and y’all come back soon.
I will be available for #backstagebudtending and holiday parties starting late October. HMU.

For @playlistretreat I brought in @smithteamaker @roselinecoffee @microjoyful and other plant medicines to keep the music makers upright, balanced, focused, and happy. This was especially welcome when the songwriting challenge for 24 teams kept many of the participants up all night, in the rain. Mad love to all the teams, each who turned in straight up fire tracks.

Some products do more than support your wellness. They remind you to slow down and notice the beauty that’s already there.

We’re so happy to have @microjoyful part of the Newport Market family.

Born from a simple realization during the pandemic, Microjoy was inspired by the little moments that make life feel rich: a friendly conversation, an unexpected smile, a favorite drink, a quiet breath at the end of a long day. Those everyday “microjoys” became the heart of a company dedicated to helping people feel calm, rested, resilient, and fully present.

Handcrafted with thoughtfully sourced ingredients, every Microjoy formula is designed to address a specific need using functional mushrooms, adaptogens, amino acids, and other plant-based ingredients. Simple. Effective. Delicious.

✨ Featured here is Dreamstate Powder, a nightly blend of Reishi, L-Tryptophan, L-Theanine, and Magnesium that helps quiet a busy mind and support deep, restorative sleep. With just ¼ teaspoon per serving, it stirs easily into tea, hot cocoa, smoothies, or your favorite evening ritual.

At Newport Market, we love discovering brands whose values align with our own. Supporting thoughtful makers, celebrating wellness, and helping our community live well are all part of what we do. That’s why we’re so excited to have Microjoy on our shelves.

Stop by, explore the lineup, and see if one of these little rituals becomes part of your daily life.

💛 What’s one small “microjoy” that makes your day just a little brighter? We’d love to hear it.

We’ve been quiet on here because we’ve been busy building the thing. Time to explain the cabinet.

The Wellness Cabinet started with a simple frustration: the wellness world is loud, and most of what’s shouting at you isn’t worth your money. After twelve years as a nurse in critical care, I got very good at telling the difference. So we built the modern medicine cabinet and put it where you already are: inside your gym, your sauna, your studio, your complex, your hotel.

Sometimes it’s a machine. Sometimes it’s a table at your favorite spot. Always, it’s a short list of things that earned their place — every product vetted by a nurse and a naturopathic medical doctor before it touches a shelf.

Put better options where people already are, and they’ll reach for them.

Wellness, within reach.
