Ultraviolet returns, inviting otodojo (@otodojo) and Paul Fleetwood (@fleet412) for a night shaped by tension, rhythm, and hypnotic pressure.

otodojo weaves together sonic stories through field and object recordings, processed vocals, contact-minced materials, and layers of synthetic sounds inspired by the natural world and imagined bio-cybernetic futures.

Their music has been released with labels such as The Bunker NY, Acid Camp, Mesma, Perimeter Junk, Qeone, Unimatrix Zero, UFO Parfums, and others. Their album ‘Amphibious / Aural Spirits’ has been named one of the best albums of 2023 by MixMag.

Paul Fleetwood, founder of record label Perimeter Junk and Ultraviolet resident DJ, will be opening the night.

“Microtones’ ‘wave~seed: support for marwa’ compilation provides windows into a multitude of worlds into a clear, picturesque focus. Sitting at a cool 65-ish minutes, Passing off its lens from hand-to-hand through its stacked lineup of 16 producers, each track shutters forward with a change of view every time the runtime restarts. The project is in support of the titular Marwa Said, a Gazan mother of three who will receive the profits from this fundraiser compilation.”

hanging dyed silks installation by me, @giasou and @fernfigs + speakers designed and built by @knightsynth for this free @microtones.wav party in ithaca, new york at the foot of cayuga lake.

@knightsynth live modular techno in the background plus other day party sounds of ithaca.

we sourced the silk from Chris’s late mother Maria’s stash (she was a silk dyer and painter) and dyed it with indigo from Kristi’s vat, marigolds from my garden, and artificial dyes. Kristi designed the event flyer and chose the color scheme in coordination.

thank you everyone who enjoyed the installation and came early / stayed late to helped us install and take down this setup. thanks also to @macre_ithaca and the Sky Factory in Freeville for the audiovisual studio/working space.
