Happy New Week, everyone! ❤️🥰

Tonight, I want to share a story with us, one that reminds us that God can speak even to a child and that a young heart can learn to recognise His voice.

A Boy Called Samuel… 📖✨

Something caught my attention in the story of prophet and I would want us to learn together

Let’s go 👉👉

Samuel was dedicated to God by his mother, Hannah, and from a young age, he was brought into the house of the Lord to serve.❤️‍🔥✨

Samuel grew up in the same environment as Eli’s sons, Hophni and Phinehas, yet he did not follow their pattern.

The sons of Eli were priests, but their actions were displeasing to God. They abused their position and behaved in ways that were contrary to what God desired.
🤔🥰✨
👉👉

Samuel could have been influenced by what he saw around him.

He could have said, “This is what everyone is doing.”

But he didn’t.

Samuel chose a different path.

The Bible tells us that Samuel continued to minister before the Lord and grew in God’s presence. ❤️‍🔥
👉👉

This reminds me that the environment a child grows up in matters, but intentional guidance and the values deposited into that child matters too.📍❤️❤️‍🔥

A child is watching.

A child is learning.

A child is picking up patterns ;from what we say, what we do, what we tolerate, what we celebrate and what we expose them to.👌💫✨

And this is why raising a child is much bigger than providing food, clothes and education.

There is a character being formed.

There are values being established.

There is a relationship with God that can be nurtured.

There is a purpose that needs to be guided.

Samuel became a man who heard God’s voice and was used by God, because he decided not to follow what prophet Eli children were engaging in, but what prophet Eli was doing.

So I want to ask us:

What are the children around us learning from us?

What patterns are we exposing them to?

What are we intentionally teaching them?

And if the child God has entrusted to you follows your example, where will that path lead them?

These are questions worth thinking about. ❤️‍🔥

Because raising a child is not just about helping them become successful in life.

It is also about helping them b
